Tonight, the Denver Nuggets host the juggernaut that is the Golden State Warriors. As is well known, the Warriors are looking to establish a new NBA record for wins to start the season. At 14-0, Golden State is not just winning games, but is very often destroying their opponents with a combination of top flight defense, an offense that emphasizes ball movement and player movement, and that one guy…Steph Curry.

For the Nuggets to have any chance of winning tonight, they should take a page out of the playbook of Doc Rivers and the Clippers (or at least their first half game plan). In their meeting on Thursday, Los Angeles made it their defensive priority to run the myriad of Warriors shooters off the three point line, being content to allow open 10-20 footers instead. If the Nuggets don’t commit to getting the aforementioned Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, et al., off the three point line, they could be in for a long – a very, very, very long – night.

On a side note, YOU COULDN'T KEEP US OFF NATIONAL TV, NBA SCHEDULERS!!!!
