The Stiff List: Week of 11/2

New, comments

Back by popular demand, the Stiff List is here!

1) DEREK FISHER

I don't know if there are unwritten rules about this stuff or not, but it's probably not a great idea to date a former teammate's ex-wife. Especially when that former teammate is Matt Barnes, whose ex-wife has been reportedly dating the former Los Angeles Lakers guard-turned-horrible-New York Knicks head coach for several months now. This was technically an off season story, but Indiana Pacers fans have resuscitated the story after chanting "Der-ek Fi-sher" to Barnes during his Memphis Grizzlies recent visit to Indianapolis. And for that we thank you, Pacers fans.

2) THE HOUSTON ROCKETS

By losing their first three games by over 20 points apiece, the Rockets are officially off to the worst start in NBA history. Other than the Clippers, I couldn't think of a more deserving team to claim this dubious honor.

3) AUSTIN RIVERS

The Los Angeles Clippers guard, Duke alum and son of Clippers coach Doc Rivers stupidly tossed a seat cushion into the stands during the team's Wednesday night game in Sacramento versus the Kings ... and the cushion smacked a female fan in the face! Rivers paid a fine and apologized, but now the Clippers must provide shields to fans who sit within "seat cushion tossing proximity" of their bench.

4) ANDREA BARGNANI

Just watch this. I have a feeling Bargnani will be a regular on the Stiff List this season.

5) DEANDRE JORDAN AND MARK CUBAN

DeAndre Jordan should get a longtime Stiff List time share for how he handled his reneging of Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks' free agent offer this past summer. And Cuban should join him for refusing to just let it go. At least all future Clippers / Mavericks games will be really, really fun to watch this season!
