Game thread: Houston Rockets at Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets look to extend their two game winning streak against familiar foes in Ty Lawson and Cory Brewer.

Two home games this week have led to two close fought victories. Tonight, the Nuggets face their toughest opponent of the three - well, the presumed toughest opponent. The Houston Rockets, 2nd seed and conference finalists from last season, enter the Pepsi Center having a disjointed, up and down season. After starting the season 0-3 (including an opening night home loss to the Nuggets), Houston reeled off 4 straight wins, including wins over the Thunder and the Clippers. In their last game, however, they inexplicably dropped a home game to the soon-to-be-relegated-to-the-Croatian-league Brooklyn Nets.

Not only are the Rockets coming off a very, very, extremely, overwhelmingly bad, putrid, awful, stinky-poo loss, tonight also marks the first return to the Pepsi Center for former fan favorite Ty Lawson.
