Quick Recap: Nuggets light up Timberwolves behind Afflalo's season-high 34 points

Arron Afflalo lights up The Target Center with 3's, fadeaways and pull up jumpers, leading Denver to their 2nd straight win.

It was a brisk -7 degrees outside of Target Center in downtown Minneapolis but fortunately for the Denver Nuggets, Arron Afflalo came out on fire.  Afflalo raced out to 13 first quarter points including all three of his 3-point field goal attempts.  He added seven more points in the 2nd quarter as the Nuggets opened up a 62-41 halftime lead.  Jusuf Nurkic was also impressive in the first half scoring with ease in the paint and even hitting a mid-range jumper.

There were a few lapses in effort and execution in the 2nd half but the Nuggets got solid contributions from the bench that helped them hold off the young Timberwolves team and grab their 2nd win in a row.  The full recap is coming up shortly with notes on Nurkic's post ups, Timofey Mozgov's struggles, and Kenneth Faried's resurgence.  But for now, enjoy this artistic representation of Afflalo in tonight's game.
