Quick Recap: Nuggets win a tight game over Bulls, 114-109

New, comments

Despite some late theatrics, the Nuggets overcome the Bulls at home for their fifth straight win.

Back to .500!

The Nuggets used another enormous game from Ty Lawson (20 points, 12 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds) and Arron Afflalo to carry the Nuggets to victory over a Bulls team clearly missing Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah. Despite the admirable efforts of Jimmy Butler III (32 points, 9 rebounds) and a ferocious effort in the closing minutes of the game, the Bulls couldn't keep up with the Nuggets' hot shooting from outside.

It was great to watch another victory for this team, which is building momentum like the boulder from Raiders of the Lost Ark. If the Nuggets can somehow take this effort and energy level to Phoenix - which has recently been a very tough place to play for this team - we may just see them surge above .500 for just the second time this season.
