Even though our beloved Nugs have now dropped 2 straight on the road, Memphis has also fallen off a bit in the absence of due to an ab-related injury to big man Marc Gasol and remains a full game behind the Nuggets in the standings. Better still is the fact that the Nuggets hold the tiebreaker over the Grizzlies. More and more it looks like the Nuggets will secure home court advantage in the first round as the 4th seed, and may yet leapfrog the Clippers as they enter a difficult stretch of their own.
In other news, the Miami Heat 27-game streak has been ended by the Chicago Bulls, Phil Jackson finally picked up a Twitter handle, and now Metta World Peace has a bum knee that will keep him out six weeks. With the Lakers struggling to hold on to the 8th seed, I'm not sure what I'd like more – the Lakers missing the playoffs altogether or getting swept by the Spurs in the first round.
