Nate Timmons and myself are flying solo this podcast as Ross Martin was out covering the Dirt Farm 500 in Nucla, Colorado. This gives Nate and I the chance to talk about the Nuggets without audible sighs from Ross. SCORE!!

We start off, of course, about the juggernaut that is the Denver Broncos. After pasting the Philadelphia Eagles 52-20 over the weekend the Broncos a deservedly are getting accolades as the best team in the NFL. Manning = Amazing. The Broncos offense is stellar. Hard to find any real flaws in the the team. If only I had seen the game … sigh.

Then we move to the Nuggets and extensively cover media day. I have serious questions for Nate about JaVale McGee and Darrell Arthur, as well as the overall vibe coming out of media day. We talk about my forthcoming article on Dikembe Mutombo and how the Nuggets can learn from when Dan Issel did when he became head coach of the Nuggets in 1992. We then wrap things up with a conversation about knee injuries and Russell Westbrook, and how it relates to Danilo Gallinari’s recovery.

We recorded at Jakes Food and Spirits on 3800 Walnut St. Thanks to the owner whom we all know and love for allowing us to podcast there.
