Tough news for Celtics fans as Rajon Rondo suffered a torn ACL in Boston's game Friday (Jan. 25th) against the Atlanta Hawks.
During the halftime show of the Thunder vs. Lakers game - Magic Johnson and Bill Simmons discussed the C's possibly blowing up their team after this news. Meaning teams in the hunt might be able to acquire either Paul Pierce or Kevin Garnett.
Pierce has a player option season for 2013-14 for $15.3 million.
KG's contract is guaranteed for next season at $12.4 million and he is locked up for the 2014-15 season for $12 million, but that year is not fully guaranteed (meaning he could be bought out, I think).
