Golden Nuggets (links)...

Here's what others are saying about our Denver Nuggets...

Star-divide

Hochman: Bottom-feeders are no pushovers - The Denver Post
The Post's Benjamin Hochman notes that the worst teams in the Western Conference (sans Minnesota and Golden State) aren't that bad anymore.  Nuggets head coach George Karl gives Hochman a classic Karl quote, saying: "You're not going to get four wins against Memphis and Oklahoma City. Now you're looking for 3-1, and 2-2 is actually OK."

Kiszla: Nuggets' effort is just so-so - The Denver Post
Kiszla gives the Nuggets a midterm grade of a C+.  Seems pretty harsh to me.

Kiki Vandeweghe: The Accidental Coach -- NBA FanHouse
Fanhouse's Chris Tomasson chronicles former Nuggets player and GM Kiki Vandeweghe's bizarre circumstances that has landed him as head coach of the woeful New Jersey Nets.

Krieger: Nuggets finally able to brush away all that Jazz - The Denver Post
Dave Krieger does a great job delving into three decades of Nuggets history versus the Utah Jazz.

NBA Courtside Blog
HoopsWorld's Travis Heath gets Jazz coach Jerry Sloan on record calling out his team's performance against the Nuggets last night.  Considering they were on the second of a back-to-back, I actually thought they played pretty hard.

Nuggets’ Second Opinion Looks Solid – By Jeremy Wagner

On ESPN daily dime

"Do not rest in defense. You can spend 24 seconds in offense on resting. If you do good enough on defense, you will be able to rest on offense."

Gotta look at the loss column

which would be 3 up on them.

Uh?

I’m not sure if you’re new around here, or maybe haven’t seen the standings, but Denver is only 2 games in front of the Blazers. They’ve played 2 more games than the Nuggets.

No I know how the standings work

3 less losses then Portland, so if the Nuggets win their games in hand it would be a 3 game lead. That’s what I mean by loss column, at the end of the year the team with less losses will win the division obviously, that’s why I pay more attention to that column then games ahead.

Let's be honest here

1. Who reads Kiszla anymore?
2. Kiki was not named head coach he was sentenced head coach.
3. The Nuggets play down to their competition, which is fine so long as it doesn’t cost them a playoff seeding.

STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. THE NUGGETS AT HOME
How is it possible that a Nuggets team with this much talent can be 7-5 at home?! Things have gotten so bad that fans are clamoring for J.R. Smith to return.

2. CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe Bryant plays through any and all ailments. Melo uses any and ailments as an excuse not to play.

3. KEVIN LOVE
Just when the T'Wolves are looking better, Love stomps on Luis Scola and lands himself a two-game suspension.

4. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The 'Cats have lost 11 straight and are now 3-21 ... in the Eastern Conference! This is what happens when you let an underwear salesman with a Hitler mustache run your team.

5. MIKE BROWN
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Google it!) got himself a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee.
