Dallas has no rebounders and they chase so many 3s, even though they have the advantage playing half court. This should be a 20 point blowout and we need to wake up before they do

It really isn’t fun to watch when the refs call every tiny thing. I really doesn’t allow the game to establish a flow and takes away momentum from both teams.

That's the second time...
that Melo has beat the Mavericks on a last second shot in Dallas. The last regular season game and now tonight. And the irony is on BOTH plays he was fouled! LOL
There were only a handful of calls that I thought were bad ones against us. My biggest problem is it didn’t feel like the calls were being reciprocated. Seemed like they were calling petty fouls against us and letting our guys get bounced around off there players. However, we won because of it…so that’s okay.

Dallas cannot complain there. I watched it again several times. It was a borderline reach in by Antoine Wright, and as soon as he did it he threw both hands up as if to say “I didn’t do anything!!! No foul!!” Of course he changed his tune once Melo made it. You can’t stop playing because you expect a whistle. It was too soft to be called at the end of the game, despite the poor officiating throughout the entire night

he totally threw his hands up and really didn’t foul him hard. If you want to make sure it’s called them wrap the guy up and make sure he can’t get a shot off.

Wasn't it Cuban who demanded an apology from KMart after a game earlier this season?
I think it’s Cuban that owes the KMart, the Nugs, the Mavs, the NBA and everyone who witnessed his unacceptable behavior after the game an apology.
After the game, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was furious, screaming about how Dallas had fouled Anthony before the shot, and he even got in a momentary yelling match with the mother of Kenyon Martin, who happened to be sitting in the row by the tunnel. Cuban was also seen on the TV broadcast shoving a cameraman.
Let’s face it…the guy is a grade A DB.

Funny As Hell......
Cracking up at all the hypocrites here. Guys your team shot 36 ft’s to 14 in game one and you sit here and whine about Dallas shooting 7 more ft’s? They shot 47 and your team shot 40 , doesn’t seem to me that the refs were out to screw you all that much. Your team won on a blown call by an official standing there and yes Nugget fans I know he didnt really foul him huh? Well the league and replays showed him on the second one slapping him across the wrist and knock it off the ball. You have a awesome talented team and this one they didn’t deserve to win and the ref helped. So stop all the whining and praise the refs now for making a bad no call that helped your team win. Im a Dallas fan and I didn’t think we were good enough to make the playoffs a few months back and everyone said we wouldn’t . Then we knocked off the Spurs when most predicted a 4-1 oust. I am proud of my team , yet they are not the best team in this series. I hope all this aggressive play helps our young guys get more used to how it gets thuggy in the playoffs. I love Football but not on a basketball court lol. Good luck after this series and can’t wait to see you play the Lakers.

These fans are gigantic hypocrites. The Nuggets get all the calls, and if they don’t, the refs are handing the other team the game—according to Denver fans. That last no-call was absolutely ridiculous, and it gave the Nuggets the game.
If that happened to Denver, all their fans would be crying right now.

It handed them the game. Basically, the ref stopped the clock, let Melo shoot the 3 until he made it, and then started the clock again. You are ridiculous. If Melo misses the shot, everyone from the Mavs would be saying that the refs were right not to call the foul because you just can’t call a foul at the juncture of the game. The fact is, the whistle did not blow, Melo MADE the shot (with no help) and Denver won.

I'm not a Mavericks fan.
I just have eyes. To claim that the correct call was made—or that the no-call had no effect on the game—is ridiculous.
Was that the only bad call in the game? They all had an effect on the game. If Dirk had made his shot with 12 seconds left the Nugs wouldn’t have been in a position to win the game on the last shot. If Wright had wrapped Melo up and made sure he couldn’t get the shot off then this wouldn’t be an issue. If Dirk had made his shot to win the game it’d be a different story. There were a virtually infinite number of factors that ultimately determined the outcome of the game.
That call was a scapegoat for a frustrating loss…nothing more.

Are you a true basketball fan and know the game? If so please answer this for me…..when did what Wright do not become a foul? Are you trying to tell all fans including thuggette fans that you have to wrap up someone for it to be called a foul? Geez your just not the brightest person are you. The game was 105-103 , that no call gave your team the lead period. Its a fact and not disputable as the NBA said so also. bye bye now
No….I’ve said one hundred times that it should have been a foul. But if they called it a foul, like they should have, then they’d have to give about 10 more FT attempts to Melo in that game because he’s fouled that hard every time he drives and it’s rarely called. Therefore we would have had about 8 more points and it wouldn’t have been a close game anyway. Like I said before, you should be thanking the refs for keeping you in this game rather than blaming them for losing.

regardless if the foul was missed or not, Wright QUIT on the play. No whistle was blown. As any true basketball fan or player knows you play until you hear a WHISTLE. Now maybe if Wright keeps playing defense Melo has to make a harder shot. But Wright quit and put his little hands up and didnt complain until Melos shot went thru the hoop. So cry me a effing river. Facts
- The Nuggets lead the league in free throw attempts this season. They are the more aggressive team, and therefore average a higher volume of free throw attempts over many many games
- Antoine Wrights foul was incredibly soft and he did the Tim Duncan “Who me!?!?! NO WAY!!!” arm waving until Melo drained the game winner in his face. It was only then did he admit he was trying to foul.
- The Mavericks quit playing when they felt they had done enough to win the game by using a soft, touch foul. The Nuggets continue to put out effort and won the game by making basketball plays, like a made 3 pointer
- The league is responsible for the missed call, but not the Mavericks loss. That is on them for quitting before the game ended. They choked, I’m sure you might remember this happening once or twice before.
- The officiating was unfair for both teams throughout the game, and only bears a very small part of the blame for the Maverick’s loss

The only reason that I commented here in the first place is because I thought it was unfair to write off a great game winning shot by Melo and a hard fought win by the Nugs on a single call. I didn’t expect anyone here to agree with me…but I wanted to get my opinion out here none the less (that’s what these blogs are all about…right?). You’ll find that my original posts were respectful and I tried not to gloat.
The conversation obviously devolved from there. I began to retaliate to unnecessary name calling and abusive language which was the point that I should have left the conversation. I have been participating in SB Nation blogs for a while and have rarely had this kind of problem. Nevertheless, I apologize for participating in the defilement of your blog and Pickaxe and Roll and will no longer be responding to negative comments. Thank you for the sound advice. ;-)

Fellow bloggers you had a guy come in to our blogs last night and bascially stir thing up and well I started in on him and basically let it get to me and started doing the same thing…..for that I am sorry. We fans are all in the same boat. We love to cheer for our teams as we are die hard fans( thats why we blog lol)
The no call would have been bad for both sides and that game last night the no call hurt the mavs …we all know that. If the call wasn’t made and Melo missed the shot with us winning, then it would have been you Denver fans in uproar. . Btw game 3 was the worst game I have seen in years with all the foul calls, I dont think either team got any flow to them the whole game with all the stoppages. Its a rough game in the playoffs and I am just proud my team was right there. Bottom line is the game is over and so far Denver has been the better team in my eyes( this coming from a true fan that in the Harper ,Blackmon days I use to write stats down on a sheet of paper listening to the radio cause there wasn’t any internet to get a boxscore from lol) I hope there are no hard feelings and good luck the rest of the way!! Your team is very talented and enjoy the ride!

It’s always a lot better when we can all keep our arguments on point, but I know it can be difficult when you feel you are being attacked.
I agree with your comments about no flow in that game … was very ugly.
