Green unis?

I’m sort of wondering if the Nuggs will continue wearing Green? I mean there are superstitions right???

About 23 minutes to tipoff…

Balkman to start ...

The Crime Stopper will bring the energy!

Keep the Wolves off the offensive glass …

Talking to myself for now ...

I’m rather used to talking to myself … I hope Nuggets faithful join me soon on here … tipoff is next! Marlowe just told me so.

NO LOVE?

Kevin Love isn’t going to play???

This is terrible … I wanted to see him play.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:06 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

2-0

Ya gotta love Nene’s jumper.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:11 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Nene opens up with 4 straight

Dallas slaughtered the Suns today … Phoenix is done.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:13 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Billups really wanted to take a 3 there … and made it! 7-4 Nuggs

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:14 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Court...

Not sure how I feel about Minny’s court. Looks weird, but sort of cool.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:14 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Carney?

Can we put a body on this guy? Two threes

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:15 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Lets see if the Mavs can take the 7th seed.

I’d love to see the Nugs play the mavs…

and if the Jazz fell to the 8th seed and had to play the Lakers, I could not be more excited about the playoffs.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:15 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Playoffs...

I like it! I’m thinking the Mavs would be a good series … no cupcakes in these playoffs though.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:17 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Lakers vs. Jazz

I don’t think L.A. wants anything to do with the Jazz in Round 1 either.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:18 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah

I don’t mind that Denver doesn’t have a cupcake to play – I’m just relieved that they aren’t a cupcake for another team, a la the Lakers last year.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:19 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

hahaha

Agreed. I think we match up well with the Mavs … though Josh Howard is getting healthy.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:20 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

we swept them in the regular season

I can’t not feel good about that matchup

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:24 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I hear ya ...

Nuggs got one of those wins on that Billups leg kick foul fiasco!

We do tend to play the Mavs tough.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:28 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Lakers vs. Jazz this season 1-1

One game left.

Hornets are playing the Jazz as we speak … Go N.O!

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:22 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Wolves w/ energy ...

Good timeout by Karl. Nuggs need to crank up the focus.

9 straight points for the Wolves.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:17 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

We need to start our bench, sick of watching the starters sleep walk.

by CCH on Apr 5, 2009 5:18 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

I hate slow starts

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:21 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

J.R. SWISH!!!

gUY IS INSANE!!! 1-1 FROM 3 …

7 straight points! For nuggs … 9 now! CRIME STOPPER!

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:23 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

We straight up have 2 of the top 5 sixth man of the year cantidates

JR and Birdman.

I put them 2 and 3 in the race after Terry…
Birdman is my darkhorse to win the award.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:26 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

I think a Nugget should take it over Terry … Terry does nothing but score.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:29 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I know, but thats how the award always goes...

usually whoever has the highest ppg off the bench in the NBA wins the award.

Personally, I think being in 2nd place in blocks in half the minutes of the guy in 1st place OFF THE BENCH is unheard of, and should earn Andersen the award. Its hard for a big man to win the award for some reason.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:32 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nice run by Nuggs!

Got that lead back!

Blazers are playing the Rockets and are down early 11-17 …

Jazz up by early 23-17

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:27 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah and the Spurs lost earlier

The Nugs have to be close to locking up the 2 seed, if they haven’t already

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:28 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Blazers still there

Nuggs have 26 losses … Blazers have 27 … so they are still right there. We take care of business on the schedule and I think we take the division.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:30 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I forgot about them

only 27 losses… thats closer than I thought, but I still think Denver takes the division.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:35 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

MIke Miller?

Or is that Marcia Miller? Get a haircut hippy! haha

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:31 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Sheldon Williams ...

Still not sure how that guy is with Candace Parker.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:33 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

1st Quarter ...

Nuggs up 27-20.

I can live with it. Just take care of business and the Wolves will disappear.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:35 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Wow

Jazz catch fire today?

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:41 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nobody wants the Lakers

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:41 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

6th man winners...

Past winners in order: Hedo Turkyglue, Manu Ginobili, Barbosa (Suns), Mike Miller, Ben Gordan … on and on … yep pretty much just scorers. Anderson should get MAJOR recognition!

Bird’s hair is a mess today! haha

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:40 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Big Man winners

The last “big man” winner was 2001-2002 when Corliss Williamson took the award.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:42 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I knew it

Its just hard for “Big Men” to get the award. They get no respect I tell ya, no respect. Rebounds/Blocks/Steals are undervalued in that award.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:46 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Brian Cardinal

Looks like the annoying guy at the YMCA with all the sweatbands and braces … what happened to that guy?

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:41 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Nene should put up bigger numbers ...

He claims he doesn’t like to shoot more than like 12 shots b/c he feels selfish … but gee they should feed that beast down low today. His career high is 28 … need to pump that up.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:51 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

No gel for Green Week?

hahaha Bird…what a character.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:46 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

thats what im sayin Nene get pissed!

by CCH on Apr 5, 2009 5:49 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Speaking of awards Chris Andersen should get

can anyone else say Defensive Player of the year?

G – Rajon Rondo
G – Dwayne Wade
F – Gerald Wallace
F – Chris Andersen
C – Dwight Howard

Any different list would be a shame.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:50 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Gerald Wallace had a nasty block the other night on Kobe I believe.

Like an idiot I think I’ve been spelling Andersen (Anderson) … whoops!!! What a mistake … I’m ashamed of myself.

Bird should be in the running for sure. I bet he wont be though.

Carney is playing well today

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:55 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Wow... I just looked up blocks per game leaders

Dwayne Wade is at #16. 1.34 blocks per game for the dude at 6’3"

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 5:55 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

That's impressive.

Wade is nasty. I forgot how good he was up until the Nuggs played the heat in Denver earlier in the year. Not sure how I underappreciated him.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:58 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

He's a 6'3" guard with the power of Karl Malone

and flat out the best shot blocking guard EVER.

by Missing Lynx on Apr 5, 2009 6:00 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

I just missed that block!

Got a text and looked down!!! EFFF!

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 5:56 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Billups ... sick pass to Nene

What a nice bounce pass. 57-40 Nuggos.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 6:02 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Man...wanted to see Earl throw it down there.

Melo’s outlet was a bit too far. Could have been a sick dunk for the Minny fans.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 6:03 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

J.R.'s free throws

He needs to take a lesson from Billups and NOT bounce on his shots like he does. For anyone who has shot free throws you HAVE TO know to limit your motion for the best success. Guy should shoot like 90% from the FT line. Frustrating.

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 6:06 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

hahaha...I say NO to N.O.

I don’t want to see Chris Paul and his antics come playoff time. I actually don’t want to play anybody! haha

ROCKETS UP ON THE BLAZERS NOW!!!

by Nate Timmons on Apr 5, 2009 6:23 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Haha, weak ass tripping call.

Miller falls over his big goofy feet.

Sonny 3 alley oops

He’s got to have a positive per and he’s only out 2 minutes.

KLEIZA

by shamp ooh on Apr 5, 2009 6:56 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Sonny is fun to cheer for though.

It’s like watching a toddler take it’s first steps. You know he’s going to trip, but it’s great to watch him learn.

by shamp ooh on Apr 5, 2009 6:58 PM MDT up reply actions   0 recs

Marlowe is trying to dissect the loss of a 30 point lead.

How about you just mention the use of the 4th as garbage time. Maybe that’s why we aren’t blowing them out right now?

by shamp ooh on Apr 5, 2009 7:05 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

2:40 left in this game

Wow, make it count Sonny, Johan, and Jason. Work your shot Linas. This late in the season, this game is so absurd.

by shamp ooh on Apr 5, 2009 7:10 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Great game.

Great building block for further tightening up. Team is looking really good, GO NUGGETS!

by shamp ooh on Apr 5, 2009 7:16 PM MDT reply actions   0 recs

Nice win

after SAS loss and POR loss, this win is awesome.

Our closer rival is SAS now, but they are 2 games behind (and we own the tiebreak)

Denver Nuggets looking awful good right now guys!!!

Portland is 3 games behind. we could clinch the division a couple of games before the last game in Portland!!

THE STIFF LIST (as of 3/8 by Andrew)

STIFF #1: K-MART'S LEFT KNEE
Best-case scenario, K-Mart misses another week or two with a sore knee.  Worst-case, he's done for the season with knee surgery.

STIFF #2: RON ARTEST
Nice hairdo.  'Nuff said.

STIFF #3: JOEL PRYZBILLA
The Blazers backup center re-injured his surgically repaired right knee after slipping in the shower.  Now we're just waiting for Greg Oden to slip on a banana peel.

STIFF #4: CAVALIERS FANS
Recently set the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets - i.e. Snuggies.  Really?!  This is worthy of a world record?!

STIFF #5: BOSTON CELTICS
Losing to the pathetic Nets and almost losing to the Wizards is one thing.  But to do so at home within a week of each other...now that's an art.  I think it's safe to assume the Celtics are going nowhere in this year's playoffs.
