Game 13 Preview & Thread: Nuggets vs. Bulls (7pm MDT)
Chicago Bulls at Denver Nuggets, Nov 21, 2009 7:00 PM MST
One of the best things about the NBA playing 82 games ... when your team loses, you get to watch them try to correct things quickly. Problems you see in the team you follow creep into your mind throughout the season, but with back-to-backs sometimes those problems can be masked with another game coming so soon.
After starting out sort of strong with my introduction ... I'm going to take a lead from the Nuggets game last night here and get a touch lazy ... this may be a short preview because I'm making a long drive today in hopes I can get back for the game in a timely manner. That being said ...
Denver or rather Chicago gets another crack at the Nuggets tonight. The Bulls, as we all know, almost pulled off a shocking win in Chicago against the Nuggets the last time they met. I expect the Bulls to come out and give Denver another tough game. Chicago (6-5) is coming off a loss to the Lakers at Staples Center (108-93) where Pau Gasol saw his first action of the season and thrived against the not so baby Bulls.
The Nuggets will be playing tonight trying to salvage a back-to-back series in a very tough way ... coming off a late night game in L.A. and a disappointing loss. Andrew's recap of the game last night should serve as a preview of sorts for the game this evening.
The Pepsi Center will be rocking and hopefully the team will feed off the crowd and show some energy early. Disappointing losses come as no surprise to NBA fans ... the Blazers (9-5) also dropped a layup game last night losing to the Golden State Warriors in Oakland 108-94 and while that may not do a thing to inspire hope for the Nuggets at least let it serve as a sign that sometimes you can't win them all.
I'm definitely a glass half full person ... so I see the Nuggets coming home and playing a lot better this evening. Things wont be easy and they never should be when you are coming off a trip to the Western Conference Finals and have a tattoo of a target on your back.

Wtf! Try blocking out instead of trying to out-jump someone.

3 on TY so what is GK going to do
He should put in AA
Uhm.
Melo 30/11/7, i wouldn’t mind him trying for the triple double…attempting to get assists is a lot more team-oriented than if he had like 8/10/10 and was forcing shots to pad his stats.
Ugh
Was a bad night for streams, didn’t even get to see the game. :[
No one would happen to know if it’s possible to watch a full replay anywhere? Probably too much to ask for though.
JR is a long range bomber
Wow. A lot of confidence for Karl to stick with him after that atrocious first half.
Birdman looked 10000% better. Melo with 30/11/7. Chauncey finally hit some threes.
Time for the Nuggets to rest a bit before another home game against the Nets on Tuesday. Go Nuggets!
Swats.
Birdman word up
Didn’t see this one but it’s good to see JR bounce back and the Nuggets blocking some shots
