Preseason Game Thread: Timberwolves at Nuggets (7pm MDT)
Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets, Oct 20, 2009 7:00 PM MDT
The Nuggets get their first look at the lowly Timberwolves at Pepsi Center tonight. With Wolves sophomore star out due to hand surgery, point guard draftee Ricky Rubio remaining in Europe and Al Jefferson bothered by an assortment of ailments, this game is going to be awful.

As much as were gonna wipe em up, I am anxious to see the continued developed of our bench.
Anyone with a link to the game would be too kind.

Karl won't do anything to help bench develop, unfortunately.
Why didn’t White play last night? No reason to have him ride the pine in a blowout, unless Karl just doesn’t like the guy. He would have far more impact than Joey freakin’ Graham (a painfully average and unexciting player).
FULL OF IT
GK is full of sh1t. Why must the fans and players go through another year of madness?
I feel sorry for Wolves fans
When will their management ever learn that it would be somewhat intelligent to have more than PG’s and PF’s on their team. I can’t wait until 2011, when they have three good Point Guards on their team, and (hopefully for them) an all-star PF playing out of position in Al Jefferson. Kevin Love is going to be a rebounding beast. His rookie stats were not actually far from Dwight Howard’s rookie stats.

Denver Radio
No Altitude tv, but it is on Altitude radio network 1510 am. Not much help to those outside Denver, though.
No AC??
Can’t tell you how disappointed I am that AC hasn’t played yet. I guess I’ll have to console myself with Lawson’s 2 pts, 3 reb, 4 ast, 2 stl, and only 1 TO in 11 min.
PS to Lawson- Don’t try dunking.
Mind Game
Again no White. The Nuggets are winning, why did GK tell White he was trying to get him some pt?
I was going to comment on this, but was going to wait until the end of the game. What’s the point of saying it if you don’t follow through.
From nba.com/nuggets:
Nuggets coach George Karl pulled White aside during practice this week and told him he would try to find some minutes for him in the final three preseason games.
“Through a training camp, there’s usually one or two guys that kind of get screwed by the system,” Karl said. “I said, `You’ve played better than you’ve earned.’”
Why
do you invite someone to camp just to sit on the bench? That old school mentality needs to put in a capsual and buried
TL
is 50% from the field and 50% from the 3pt line. AC needs not ever to play again
Way to go Ty
2nd team is in with TL running it. Look at his box score. How can GK play AC over him
Balkman
What’s awesome about Naldo is he doesn’t need a bunch of minutes to make an impact on the game. He just needs to play. He rarely comes in and wastes playing time by failing to put up numbers or contribute some energy, unlike some others who get in as coach’s favorites. Of course I won;t name names but it starts with an A and ends in a nthony Carter.
Ego Tripping
GK’s ego like his belly gets in the way of who should play and when.
Balkman is a beast that doesn’t need plays run for him. And TL has shown that the Rook is better than the back up vet
I would have loved to see Lawson start a preseason game
I bet you he starts a game by the end of the season. I just see it happening.
omg...
i didnt watch but from the box score we did nasty… melo another great game, ty 10 & 8 in 25 min, afflalo 20 pts, some crazy fast break plays….. also malik had a nice jam….
biggest box score suprises
ok, maybe not surprises, but Ty and Aflalo seem like they had great games. Now, if only GK would allow White some time on court…
