New Blog: The Nova Blog for Villanova Fans!

Thank You SB Nation and All of You

I have made the very difficult decision to start a new Nuggets blog and it is with a great deal of sadness that I announce this will be my last post on Pickaxe and Roll.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank SB Nation for the opportunity they gave me to run this blog and work with what is currently the best group of NBA bloggers on the internet.  SB Nation is a first class organization that only cares about promoting great blogging and I will always appreciate my time here.  I leave with nothing but a great respect and good feelings towards the network.

Thank you to everyone at SB Nation and thank you to all of you who have read, commented, posted and spread the word about Pickaxe and Roll.  I owe you all a debt of gratitude for making this blog what it is.

I struggled with the appropriateness of declaring the launch of my new blog here on SB Nation’s platform and after a great deal of thought I decided to take the middle of the road.  Instead of ignoring it or putting the name in big bold letters I will just say if you are interested in visiting it you can click here.

Well I am sorry to see you leave

I had always enjoyed your analysis and posts, I am not technically as proficient in understanding basketball as others on this site, I always enjoyed the breakdowns you gave. Very insightful and helpful for the none basketball junkie but just casual fan.

Whoa!

I get back from a week’s holiday to a 2 point win over OKC and this? Damn!

I daresay I will follow Jeremy to the new blog.

Pickaxeandroll was great and I wish it the best in the future.

I don’t stop by as often as I did last season, but for a guy who literally wanted to stop by today and make a debatable statement like, “Chris Andersen is diesel” I wasn’t expecting this. Good luck on the new site. You’ve been bookmarked.

THE STIFF LIST (as of 3/8 by Andrew)

STIFF #1: K-MART'S LEFT KNEE
Best-case scenario, K-Mart misses another week or two with a sore knee.  Worst-case, he's done for the season with knee surgery.

STIFF #2: RON ARTEST
Nice hairdo.  'Nuff said.

STIFF #3: JOEL PRYZBILLA
The Blazers backup center re-injured his surgically repaired right knee after slipping in the shower.  Now we're just waiting for Greg Oden to slip on a banana peel.

STIFF #4: CAVALIERS FANS
Recently set the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets - i.e. Snuggies.  Really?!  This is worthy of a world record?!

STIFF #5: BOSTON CELTICS
Losing to the pathetic Nets and almost losing to the Wizards is one thing.  But to do so at home within a week of each other...now that's an art.  I think it's safe to assume the Celtics are going nowhere in this year's playoffs.
