I Quit Too
The self destruction we have seen on the court is rushing like a wall of water from a burst dam to the bench and into the locker room. The question of who quit when is spreading like a flesh eating virus through this already fatally infected team.
Carmelo believes they all quit. Some players think the coaches quit. Others think no one quit. The crowd clearly quit in response to what they were witnessing (the Nugg Doctor wrote that he left a Nuggets game early for the first time ever). And to top it all off, AI thinks he was benched for the fourth quarter.
I guess all there is left to find out from this team is will they un-quit some time before game four and if they do, will it matter?
It will be obvious from the start if
Karl has one last chance to challenge Melo. Make Melo show us that he is not going to quit again and have him guard
Short of that happening, I have no desire to watch this group of players any longer. I wrote as early as game four this season that there was no change in this team from years past and sadly that appears to have been accurate.
Take a look around the league at the various playoff series. Which one stands out as being different than the others? It is the Denver/LA series.
Right now I would trade all of these guys for one Al Horford.
Of course, that would be silly, but I have been beaten down buy this team. I just want this season to end. So yes, just like the players, I have quit on this team too.
After all of this doom and gloom that I have been preaching about this team for months let’s wrap this up on a positive note. The Nuggets have one last chance this season to get back at the Utah Jazz. They can get swept and allow the Lakers as much rest as possible before they move on to face
How is that for positive?

Couldn't of said it better myself
In fact I will say that if the roster we’ve seen this season comes back next year without significant changes and most importantly a new head coach it’s going to be very, very difficult for me to get excited about this team at all. I know for sure I, nor my family will be pouring in the money it takes to go to 8-10 games a year which is what we usually go to. I am sick of this team right now and if GK comes back I just don’t see the team being any different than it has for the last several seasons.

On NBA TV
There’s a scroll bar at the bottom. About two days ago it said Karl would return next season.

RE: On NBA TV
I have not made a big deal about this yet, but yes, there are reports that Karl will return, but for the most part they are from Karl himself. The only quote anyone from management has made was from Wakentien I believe and all he said was something along the lines of do not ask ricidulous questions.
If management thinks that wondering whether or not Karl will return next season is ridiculous, then there are problems present that will not be fixed anytime soon.

I saw that report
And like Jeremy I’m not making a big deal of it yet. They will say the right things right now because our season is “technically” still going. I honestly expect Karl ro resign after the season is over. I can’t imagine this has been too fun for him either, but who knows. I just know that Karl and the Nuggets are not a good fit right now. I’m glad Karl found his health and he survived his cancer scare but when you have the outlook on your job that winning games just isn’t as important anymore then you don’t really need to be an NBA head coach. Sorry.

I'm Going To The Game Tonight
But I’m kind of hoping I get food poisoning at dinner so I can avoid it.

Thanks for the angle
About how if we lose, it at least has a chance at hurting the Jazz. I know you meant it as a joke, but I hate the Jazz to the point that I’m tempted to take it seriously.

Al Horford
I’m with you on Horford. He’s already a very good player and has the potential to be great. It’s not often you see a rookie, particularly one that does not get over the top praise at every turn, pull a team together the way Horford has. I really like his game. Meanwhile, the one positive you came up with was downright vindictive. Very clever. I’m hoping you don’t take the quitting too seriously.

As a Blazers fan
I sympathize. We went through several years of this in the Damon, Rasheed, Bonzi, Darius, and Zach show. The Jail Blazers are finally dead, but rebirth has been painful. We went from the WCF in 2000 to a downward spiral where we missed the playoffs for the first time in over two decades and slogged through mediocrity and right into “turribleness”. However, now we are on the upswing. I hope for ya’ll’s sake that your roster gets blown up this off season because you’re going nowhere and the rebuilding needs to begin. Like the Red Hot Chili Peppers say in Californication “Destruction leads to a very rough road, but it also breeds creation.”
