Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

I Am Speechless

Pickaxe and Roll has been named the best Northwest Division NBA blog by a panel of bloggers.  I started blogging about the Nuggets about a year ago, but did not really get serious about it until last October.  I am amazed at the reception I have received not only from those of you who regularly read this blog, but also other bloggers.

I appreciate all of you who take the time to read this drivel.  I will keep trying to post interesting and accurate thoughts and I hope you all find the time you spend reading and commenting well spent.

Thanks to Matt over at Hardwood Paroxysm for putting the voting together.  He is a tremendous asset to and supporter of quality NBA blogging.

I recommend checking out the complete list of winners and runners up

Congrats!

You do an excellent job, and this is very well deserved.

You deserve it

Keep up the good work. Hopefully the blog picks up a bunch of readers/commenters this summer so that game threads become a lot more crowded and fun by next November.

rockies in october.

STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. THE NUGGETS AT HOME
How is it possible that a Nuggets team with this much talent can be 7-5 at home?! Things have gotten so bad that fans are clamoring for J.R. Smith to return.

2. CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe Bryant plays through any and all ailments. Melo uses any and ailments as an excuse not to play.

3. KEVIN LOVE
Just when the T'Wolves are looking better, Love stomps on Luis Scola and lands himself a two-game suspension.

4. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The 'Cats have lost 11 straight and are now 3-21 ... in the Eastern Conference! This is what happens when you let an underwear salesman with a Hitler mustache run your team.

5. MIKE BROWN
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Google it!) got himself a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee.
