The NCAA March Madness tournament got underway today and there were a ton of upsets just like always. Well, those upsets almost carried over into Ball Arena tonight as the Chicago Bulls tried to play spoiler against the Denver Nuggets, who had won seven of their last eight games coming into tonight.

Just when you thought Chicago might pull off the upset, Jamal Murray stepped in and made sure that did not happen. Sure, some other people definitely contributed — Nikola Jokic and Facundo Campazzo — but the Nuggets would not have walked away victorious if it wasn’t for Murray’s big second half.

After scoring just three points in the first half, Murray went on to score 31 in the second half and overtime — 15 in the fourth quarter — and made this unbelievable three to send the game to OT:

Murray finished the game with 34 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the field, 6-of-7 from three. Not only did he score the ball efficiently, but Murray also dished out five assists and had four steals in the win.

It was a performance to remember for Murray, so why not watch all the highlights from this tweet and video below!
