All eyes were on Malik Beasley and Juancho Hernangomez this evening as the duo made their return to Denver for the first time since being traded earlier this month. In the end, though, it was the Nuggets who would steal the spotlight, exerting their dominance in a 128-116 victory for the season sweep over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Nuggets got off to a hot start behind excellent three-point shooting by Paul MIllsap, but the Timberwolves would soon close the gap. Kelan Martin was huge for Minnesota early on off the bench, scoring 19 points in the first half alone. Zero defense was played in the first half as both teams went well above the 60 point mark in what looked to be a shootout.

Minnesota hung around for a bit in the third quarter as things tightened up defensively. The floodgates opened in the fourth for the Nuggets though.

Millsap led the game in scoring with 25 points and continued his scorched earth campaign from three, nailing four of his six attemps. Nikola Jokic put up 24 of his own. On the Gary Harris front things looked a lot better. Harris hit double-digits with 13 points, 5-10 from the field and 2-3 from deep all while bottling up Malik Beasley for most of the night.

Beasley looked as laser focused as anyone before the game. He had his moments but his final box score was “just” 17 points and 8 rebounds. Juancho also struggled and finished with seven points on the night.

On tap for the Nuggets will be the Detroit Pistons this Tuesday night.
