In this episode, I share my notes from an action packed game one of the Western Conference semi-finals between the Denver Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers. The story of the game was the two-man play between Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic in the pick and roll. The two Nuggets cornerstones looked like Stockton and Malone, playing off of each other so nicely and just dismantling the Portland defense with the PnR. I talk about what made that action so effective, the value of delivering the ball to Jokic in the paint, Paul Millsap’s timely buckets, and Denver’s second unit that looks like it is ready for a resurgence.
