The Nuggets have talent all over the place and that has forced some of their young talent to play in the G-League. Two of those young stars are Jarred Vanderbilt and PJ Dozier, who both were recalled on Wednesday afternoon to rejoin the Nuggets.

This comes just a day after Jamal Murray missed most of the 76ers game with a right trunk contusion. Murray is listed as questionable for the Nuggets game against Portland on Thursday night, but hinted on Instagram earlier today that he will play against the Trail Blazers.

It’s going to take a lot more than a hip check from Ben Simmons to hold this guy down. Tough as nails. pic.twitter.com/BqDaz6m4uE
Paul Millsap is also questionable for the Portland game due to left foot soreness. As for Vanderbilt and Dozier, both players have been tearing it up in the G-League.
Vanderbilt has been playing for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and is averaging 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Not only has Vanderbilt already played in eight games, but he is averaging 23.5 minutes per game, which is huge for his development.
Dozier meanwhile is taking the G-League by storm and has been one of the best players in the league to start the season. Through 11 games with the Windy City Bulls, Dozier is averaging 19.7 points, 7.8 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game, pretty incredible.

It will be tough for either Vanderbilt or Dozier to crack the rotation moving forward, but it still is a positive sign to see both players up with the big club. Both players have been tearing it up lately, so if they do end up seeing some minutes, don’t be surprised if Vanderbilt or Dozier make the most of them.
