In this episode I am joined by Steve Jones who worked as a video coordinator for the Memphis Grizzlies and as a player development coach and assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets. His father also played for the Denver Rockets way way back. Steve provides a lot of great insight on life as part of an NBA coaching staff. He also shared his thoughts on the Nuggets roster, their season so far, and what he is seeing around the western conference.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the season so far. Steve is really an insightful guy and great personality. It’s fascinating listening to him talk about his experience in Memphis and Brooklyn and how he learned to watch the game with a coach’s eye. He also had the chance to coach both Mason Plumlee and Darrell Arthur and spoke briefly about his experience working with both guys and also talked about comparisons between Nikola Jokic and Marc Gasol.
