The NBA was saddened on Thursday with the news that sideline reporter Craig Sager had lost his two-year battle with leukemia. Sager was popular amongst players, coaches and fans - always providing entertainment with his questions and his flashy wardrobes. He proved to be a fighter during the last years of his life, continuing to work off-and-on despite undergoing strenuous treatment for his illness. Many players around the league took to social media to pay their respects for Sager and his family, including a number of Denver Nuggets.
#RIPCraigSager an absolute legend of our game. Thank you for your charisma, colorful suits, & style that helped build the #NBA brand.

Sager was one of the best at his job. He asked questions that fans were genuinely curious in hearing the answers to, yet he did so with grace and a sense of humor. He was entertaining, and from everything that I’ve ever read about him, a great person to be around even during his hard-fought battle. He will be missed by the entire NBA family, in addition to anybody that had the fortune to know him. This is proven by the countless dedications to him over the last couple of days.
Rest in peace, Craig Sager. The Denver Stiffs will miss you.
