The Denver Nuggets were clobbered by the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. A game they were never really in. Head coach Michael Malone watched as Rick Carlisle put on a coaching clinic. It happens. There is a reason Carlisle is a top 3 coach in the NBA. He is THAT good.

The Nuggets biggest issue seems to be adequately exploiting the unicorn-esque skill set of one Nikola Jokic. A center with point guard skills who needs the ball in his hands. The Nuggets need to figure out how to make that particular set of skills (thank you Liam Neeson) work within the confines of your typical basketball team. The journey will be VERY frustrating for Nuggets fans. When it works though…

The Nuggets need to figure out how to make that particular set of skills (thank you Liam Neeson) work within the confines of your typical point guard dominated offense. What is clear, Jokic needs to be THE featured piece of the the Nuggets offense functionality but figuring out how to make it work is the Nuggets struggle.
