Denver Nuggets select Serbian point guard Nikola Radicevic from Seville

New, comments

The Denver Nuggets have gone point guard crazy, and selected Nikola Radicevic with the 57th overall pick. He was teammates with Kristaps Porzingis in Spain with Baloncesto Seville this past season where he averaged 7.2 points, 3.2 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 21.3 minutes.

The Nuggets brought the lefty in for a workout, along with Cameron Payne. He played in 33 games this past season in the ACB league and another 16 games in the Eurocup. Nikola has a little range and is a crafty point guard. It is not yet known if he'll be coming to the NBA this season or not, but he could be a nice draft-and-stash player for the Nuggets at 21 years-old.

There were some talented guys still on the board, but the Nuggets must feel they have needs at point guard with Ty Lawson's future up in the air and Jameer Nelson opting out of the final year of his season and becoming an unrestricted free agent. Tim Connelly has said they want to bring Nelson back, but it'll be a battle for his services.

Welcome to the Nuggets Radicevic.
