Denver has not defeated the Spurs on the road since 3/4/2012

Etc… Spurs have won 5 straight against the Nuggets

Just when I was fully committed to the idea of losing for better draft position, the Nuggets turnaround and fire their head coach, promote the wonderful Melvin Hunt, and bring life and energy back onto the court that had evaporated under the guidance of Brian Shaw. I am feeling something I haven’t felt in months, a desire to watch the Nuggets play. Wherever we land in the lottery, I feel confident we can land a solid player. I am more interested in watching 6 weeks of fun Nugget basketball than watching Denver battle Sacramento and Orlando in a race to the bottom.

San Antonio is home and rested after spending almost the entire month of February on the road for their annual "rodeo trip". They played 9 straight road games from 2/8 to 2/28. The Spurs have won three in a row, are healthy, and are in position to put the pedal to the metal to make a run to close out the regular season. This game will be tough. All I want to see is more fast paced play and competitive spirit from our rejuvenated Nuggets.

Prediction:

Ty Lawson tallies 13 assists. Gallo scores 25 points. Manimal secures a double-double. Will Barton shoots 50% from three. Spurs survive a scare from the feisty Nuggets, 109-103
