It was only a preseason game but boy did the Nuggets look like a team ready to make a statement. Coming in to Oracle Arena, a near impossible location for road teams to grab a win and the site of a 122-79 drubbing just 9 months ago, the Nuggets fought tooth and nail and showed signs of a team ready to make a big statement this season.

The Warriors came out firing and played in front of the Nuggets for much of the first half, at times threatening to really open up the score. But for every punch the Warriors threw, the Nuggets had an answer. In a furiously paced game that went back and forth for much of the first half, the Nuggets finally pulled ahead late in the 2nd quarter and never looked back.

Kenneth Faried had his best game of the preseason and looked like the Manimal of 2013, grabbing offensive and defensive baords, slicing through the lane for lobs and cuts, and even knocking down a few mid-range jump shots. He finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds on an incredible 10-12 shooting. His energy and effort on every play stood out as he played through the whistle on every possession.

Six Denver Nuggets finished with double figures and Emmanuel Mudiay continued to improve his assist to turnover ratio with 9 assists and just 2 turnovers.

The full recap will be up shortly, but for now, enjoy the box score and a few nice vines courtesy of Denver Stiffs own, kayla Osby.
