Last year’s Summer League roster left alot to be desired. The Nuggets underwent a complete management overhaul which included coaching. The team’s coaching staff was in flux, and it was left to a rotating cast of assistant coaches to coach the team.

Not the case this season, a seasoned current assistant coach will take the reigns of this year’s Summer League squad with a much improved cast of players to coach this year. This roster includes Nuggets 2014 first round draftee Gary Harris as well as 2nd round pick from last year Erick Green, who played overseas in Italy last year. Also, Quincy Miller will be on this roster as well as former University of Colorado player Carlon Brown who also played overseas last year.

Notable absence from the roster is one Jusuf Nurkic, whom the Nuggets too as the 16th pick in this year’s draft. Denver Stiffs was told that any absence from the Summer League roster did NOT indicate that the team will not sign the big Bosnian center. Talks are ongoing to both buyout from his European team and sign Nurkic and the team anticipates Nurkic to be available when the season starts.

Summer League runs from July 11th-21st. Games will be televised on NBA TV. Not sure on Altitude coverage as of yet. As ever, Denver Stiffs will have you covered on this one as Nate Timmons and (hopefully) myself give you the inside scoop on what's happening in Sin City as the Nuggets see what's what with their Summer League invitee's.
