The Denver Nuggets did not extend a qualifying offer to guard Julyan Stone and the Toronto Raptors have signed him to a two-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Stone becomes the first Nuggets free agent to sign with any team and the first Nuggets' free agent to leave the team. Stone was signed by the Nuggets as an undrafted free agent out of Texas El Paso aka UTEP and battled injuries with the team last season and only appeared in four games for the team last season and 22 games for the Nuggets as a rookie.

Stone was working hard on his offensive game and could be found staying late after practice working with the assistant coaches on his shooting stroke. George Karl thought highly of Stone's defense and even used him to check Steph Curry in the 2013 playoffs.

Rookie Erick Green will now have an even better shot at earning Denver's third point guard spot.

Julyan was one of the nicest people I've met in basketball. He always has a smile on his face and was very gracious with his time. I hope he finds some success with the Raptors.
