Hey readers,

I was on a roadtrip over the weekend to … Iowa. Iowa? Yep, Iowa. I meant to get a post up indicating I would not be around over the weekend, but a couple things prevented me from doing that. Had some friends to visit out in Iowa City and spent 26 hours in a car with no internet access. The good news is that Iowa is a fun place with nice people.

The bad news is we drove about 5 hours in a horrible sleet storm and I thought for a good amount of time that my life was in great danger. Sort of like the Nuggets season right now.

I'm thinking that the Nuggets must have been staying up all night drinking Tequila and eating chili because they have completely shit the bed. 3-7 in their last 10 games. 0-4 versus teams under .500 including a loss to the leagues worst team, record wise, in the loss to the Kings (14-49).

I did not get to see much of the Jazz game, but I did tune in when Denver was up big and figured they pulled off a major win … instead I received a text indicating a collapse greater than the Grand Canyon. Had I watched that game live I think I probably would be writing this blog from behind bars because I probably would have started a riot in the state that provides us with The Field of Dreams.

I'm hoping this nightmare will end soon and the Nuggets will snap out of this funk, but I'm not all of too confident at the moment.

I'll be back later today with a Houston preview and we'll get the ball rolling here once again.
