Full story here.

Yesterday the Golden State Warriors cut 6'3'', 210 pound, 23 year-old, third year, point-guard Marcus Williams.

The Nuggets were in search of depth at PG and signed Jason Hart recently. Hart is a veteran, but not an ideal match and lacks any shooting range.

I'd love to see Denver bring Williams in. He's a former Nets 1st Round pick and could develop nicely here with our veteran guards. Williams showed in his second season with New Jersey that he has some 3-point range shooting 38% (54-142). Although his overall field goal percentage is not ideal right now (38.6%) I think Billups could tutor the lefty as he, like Billups was, is more of a shoot first guard right now. He never flourished under Don Nelson's fast pace style in Golden State and plays the game probably more to the Nuggets' current make up of a bit of a slower pace and inside-outside ball movement.

With a team of aging point guards (AC 33, Billups 32, Hart 30), it'd at least be a youth gamble that I'd like to see Denver make.

Any thoughts?
