The Rocky Mountain News' Dave Krieger gives a detailed account of George Karl's recent comments about Allen Iverson, suggesting that Karl wasn't referring to A.I. directly. Since Krieger has been a friend and supporter of DenverStiffs.com, I thought it would be appropriate to link to his column here as I laid into Karl about those comments and Denver Stiffs is clearly in the cross hairs of some of Krieger's commentary.
I'd like to point out that this blog - like ESPN News - was simply reacting to the Denver Post's Benjamin Hochman's account of that interview. Does this mean that Hochman - who's also been nothing but nice to me since launching this blog - and Krieger heard the same quote, but had different interpretations of it? Who knows.
That being said, I still believe Karl assigns blame to his players for his teams' failures much more often than holding himself accountable. Just ask Ray Allen.
At this point, I don't really care. I just want Karl to deliver a victory over the @#$%& Lakers already!
