STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. THE NUGGETS AT HOME
How is it possible that a Nuggets team with this much talent can be 7-5 at home?! Things have gotten so bad that fans are clamoring for J.R. Smith to return.

2. CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe Bryant plays through any and all ailments. Melo uses any and ailments as an excuse not to play.

3. KEVIN LOVE
Just when the T'Wolves are looking better, Love stomps on Luis Scola and lands himself a two-game suspension.

4. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The 'Cats have lost 11 straight and are now 3-21 ... in the Eastern Conference! This is what happens when you let an underwear salesman with a Hitler mustache run your team.

5. MIKE BROWN
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Google it!) got himself a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee.

Welcome to DenverStiffs.com!

In 1976, the Denver Nuggets were one of four American Basketball Association teams to be absorbed into the National Basketball Association. 34 years later, the Nuggets are the only ABA holdover never to have appeared in an NBA Finals.

In fact, the Nuggets 33-year tenure in the NBA has produced just three Western Conference Finals Appearances, a mere six 50-win seasons, 12 first round playoff exits (including six of the last seven), 13 seasons in which the team missed the playoffs altogether, and three in which the team didn’t even win 20 games. And our cumulative record? 1319-1437 (a .478 "winning" percentage).

To quote legendary Nuggets coach Doug Moe, this franchise has been chock full of "Stiffs" for over 30 years. And we - the fans - aren’t going to take it without standing up for all the members of Nuggets Nations.

Without any reservations, restrictions or semblance of good taste, this blog speaks up for Nuggets fans everywhere. In return for the hard-earned money we pay for tickets, apparel, food and parking at the Pepsi Center, and so on, all we ask is that our owner, management, coach and players care more about the outcome of each game than we do. For if they don’t, this blog will put them on the STIFF LIST and demand that they either shape up, or ship out.

We welcome comments, feedback and suggestions. Please email us at denverstiffs@gmail.com or ntimmons73@yahoo.com.

Sincerely,

Andrew and Nate
Lifelong Nuggets Fans

Suns vs. Nuggets: A whole lot of Brewer love (7pm MST)

Corey Brewer has been one of Denver's sweet surprises this season.

Valentines Day is a great time to show those you care about and love how much they mean to you. Tonight, I hope Corey Brewer gets the start (like he's penciled in to be), is announced last, and gets a huge ovation from the home crowd. Brewer recently lost his father and could use some love from his home crowd.

Denver Nuggets Lineup Changes With Nene And Mozgov Out

Photo

(SB Nation Denver, Russ Oates) Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl confirmed on Tuesday that the team will be without Nene and Timofey Mozgov for the night's game against the Phoenix Suns.

Kosta Koufos has been starting in Mozgov's place, on occasion, since the ankle injury while rookie Kenneth Faried has seen increased playing time in February as a result of Nene's injuries -- this time a calf strain. Faried had 8 points and 10 rebounds against the Golden State Warriors a couple of games ago, both career highs.

Podcast: Denver Stiffs crew joins the Colorado Sports Guys

Corey Brewer finds himself as a key component in The Blogger Challenge on the Colorado Sports Guys podcast.

Finally! Andrew, Jeff, and Nate all make their way into the CSG Studios to record with Ross Martin. The guys go into depth about how the website or websites were created, thoughts on this year's team that range from offensive woes to defensive struggles to coaching challenges to injury concerns, where can Wilson Chandler play, and the three Stiffs face off to find out who has in-house bragging rights on the site during The Blogger Trivia Challenge. To let you in on the fun before you listen ... in the comments section: name players that won an NBA title before or after playing for your Nuggets. Listen to the podcast here (free on iTunes).

Golden Nuggets: Better on the road ...

The Nuggets have no problem frustrating opponents on the road ... especially those who reside in the Eastern Conference.

Of all the bizarre things I thought might happen during this lockout-shortened 2011-12 NBA season, I never foresaw the Nuggets being substantially better on the road than at home.

Nuggets at Pacers recap: The 500 lb gorilla takes a night off; visits Pacers

Corey Brewer ... doin' werk

Nuggets at Pacers: For your life (5pm MST)

Ugh...Darren Collison shoots a jumper. I remember this game, best to block it from your memory.

"In the pits you go no lower, the next stop is underground" - For Your Life, Led Zeppelin

Little did Robert Plant know that 36 years after he wrote that lyric for Led Zeppelin he would be describing a must win game for the Denver Nuggets when they play the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis tonight. It's time to lay the cards on the table and play like it's your last game on earth.
