Game 69 Preview & Thread: Hornets at Nuggets (7:30pm MST)

80542_nuggets_hornets_basketball_medium_mediumWhen the Hornets play at Denver on Thursday night they'll be playing the second of a back-to-back, their fourth game in five nights and will be flying in from the Pacific Time Zone.  Can you say "Nuggets blowout"?!

Game 68 Preview & Thread: Wizards at Nuggets (7pm MST)

60143_wizards_basketball_medium_mediumIf it weren't for the woeful New Jersey Nets, the Wizards would be neck-and-neck with Indiana for "worst team in the East" honors.  I couldn't think of a better opponent for the Nuggets to get back into the win column.

Game 67 Preview & Thread: Nuggets at Rockets (6:30pm MST)

Tacos_medium My apologies about the Grizzlies recap, like Johan Petro has done a time or two ... I dropped the ball. The important thing to make note of ... Denver is finally above the .500 mark on the road, back in control of the #2 seed (by 1/2 a game) and riding high on a 6-game win streak. The Nuggets will look to make it seven in a row tonight in Houston.

Game 66 Preview & Thread: Nuggets at Grizzlies (6pm MST)

Bird_green_medium It's too bad the Nuggets wont be playing at home on St. Patty's Day, or at all on March 17th, because we'd maybe get to see some more green uniforms. Well, the Nuggets are playing this evening in Memphis, the Saturday before St. Patty's, or as it's commonly known ... the party day. Enjoy your green beer and car-bombs* and hopefully a big Nuggets road win.

Game 65 Preview & Thread: Nuggets at Hornets (6pm MST)

73756_hornets_rockets_basketball_medium_mediumThe wheels came off the Hornets season a long time ago.  But if it weren't for rookie point guard Darren Collison, they wouldn't even be close to playing .500 basketball.

Game 64 Preview & Thread: Nuggets at T-Wolves (6pm MST)

Brewer_medium From bust to boom Corey Brewer is enjoying a fine season for the Minnesota Timberwolves and should be considered for the NBA's Most Improved Player award.

Game 63 Preview & Thread: Blazers at Nuggets (8:30pm MST)

79178_trail_blazers_bulls_basketball_medium_mediumWhile most Coloradoans will be stuck at silly Oscar parties placing $2 bets on who will win Best Supporting Actress, I'll be at Pepsi Center watching the current Nuggets take on three notable former Nuggets who now play for the rival Trail Blazers.

Game 62 Preview & Thread: Pacers at Nuggets (7pm MST)

72127_new_jersey_nets_v_indiana_pacers_medium_mediumThe NBA's version of "The Whitest Kids U' Know," the Indiana Pacers, make their lone appearance at Pepsi Center on Friday night.

Game 61 Preview & Thread: Nuggets vs Thunder (7pm mst)

Melo_durant_mediumThe Oklahoma City Thunder are making their bid to be a playoff team a bit earlier than expected. I foolishly thought the Thunder would finish 10th out West this year, but Oklahoma City has a chance to finish anywhere from No. 2 to No. 8 as they currently sit 6th in the Western Conference.

Game 60 Preview & Thread: Nuggets at Suns (7pm MST)

Afflalo_mediumHere is what you don't want to have happen ... lose a close, hard-fought game one afternoon and the next night have to play a fast-paced, high-scoring team. Well, the Nuggets will be doing exactly that in a few hours in Phoenix to play the Suns.

THE STIFF LIST (as of 3/8 by Andrew)

STIFF #1: K-MART'S LEFT KNEE
Best-case scenario, K-Mart misses another week or two with a sore knee.  Worst-case, he's done for the season with knee surgery.

STIFF #2: RON ARTEST
Nice hairdo.  'Nuff said.

STIFF #3: JOEL PRYZBILLA
The Blazers backup center re-injured his surgically repaired right knee after slipping in the shower.  Now we're just waiting for Greg Oden to slip on a banana peel.

STIFF #4: CAVALIERS FANS
Recently set the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets - i.e. Snuggies.  Really?!  This is worthy of a world record?!

STIFF #5: BOSTON CELTICS
Losing to the pathetic Nets and almost losing to the Wizards is one thing.  But to do so at home within a week of each other...now that's an art.  I think it's safe to assume the Celtics are going nowhere in this year's playoffs.
