Nuggets at Pacers: For your life (5pm MST)
"In the pits you go no lower, the next stop is underground" - For Your Life, Led Zeppelin
Little did Robert Plant know that 36 years after he wrote that lyric for Led Zeppelin he would be describing a must win game for the Denver Nuggets when they play the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis tonight. It's time to lay the cards on the table and play like it's your last game on earth.
Warriors vs. Nuggets: Will the Nuggets win a basketball game this week? (7pm MST)
Losers of four straight and six of their last seven games, the Nuggets desperately need to get back to winning basketball games. Drawing the 8-14 Golden State Warriors on Thursday night should help.
Mavericks vs. Nuggets: A home win is much needed (7pm MST)
Don't look now, look now - your Denver Nuggets have lost three straight games and three straight home games, as well! Who would have thought that at this point in the season, with 12 home games, that Denver would have just one more home win than Minnesota, Golden State, and Sacramento? Things don't get easier as the Dallas Mavericks, who have had three full days off, are in town and looking for revenge after losing to the Nuggets 115-93 on Dec. 26th.
Rockets vs. Nuggets: No nights off in the Western Conference ... (7pm MST)
Don't look now, but the Houston Rockets are just two games back of our Denver Nuggets. And they're the ninth-seeded team in the Western Conference!
Nuggets at Trail Blazers: Corrections and solutions (8pm MST)
The Nuggets, coming off a weird loss at home to the Los Angeles Lakers, will travel to Portland and attempt to win the back end of a back to back to back. No easy task against a great home team like the Trail Blazers.
Oh, the Nuggets need to correct some things first.
Lakers vs. Nuggets: Beat L.A. ... again! (8:30pm MST)
The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers haven't seen each other since their "home-and-home" series back on Dec. 31st and Jan. 1st. The Lakers won the December game, 92-89, thanks in-part to a Nuggets collapse. And Denver won at home on New Year's Day 99-90. The Nuggets are coming off a win in Los Angeles against the Clippers, now it's time to face the older brother Lakers in Denver as the second game of a back-to-back-to-back in Snowpocalypse!
Nuggets at Clippers: Clippers hot, Nuggets not heading into rematch (8:30pm MST)
After racking up six-straight victories, all the excitement surrounding the Nuggets seems to have suddenly evaporated with two straight losses to two solid Western Conference teams. Are Nuggets fans overly panicking? Or is reality settling in? How the Nuggets perform on Thursday against the Clippers and Friday against the Lakers will go a long way towards answering those questions.
Nuggets at Grizzlies: Karl's team comfortable on the road (6pm MST)
As our reader ParkHillNative pointed out, through 20 games with a 14-6 record, we could easily see the Nuggets record breakdown being 9-1 at home and 5-5 away. George Karl loves to point out that you need to be around .500 on the road to have a successful season. Well, with a 7-3 start away from The Can, these Nuggets are just as comfortable at home as they are on the road. That's not good news for the struggling Memphis Grizzlies tonight at the Fed Ex Forum.
Clippers vs. Nuggets: Lob City meets Team City (6pm MST)
The Los Angeles Clippers come to town as another "star" aligned team - a product of blockbuster trade of their own. This is another example of the "star" system versus the "team" concept represented by our Denver Nuggets...
...or is it?
Raptors vs. Nuggets: Let's make it 6 in a row ... (7pm MST)
Don't let the Raptors two consecutive Western Conference road wins fool you. With the Raptors best player Andrea Bargnani re-aggravating his strained left calf, even a depleted Nuggets team should take down the dinos in Denver tonight.
