In this episode of the Locked On Nuggets podcast, I share my thoughts on the loss to the Atlanta Hawks and the bad habit a few of the vets have of not playing through Nikola Jokic enough in the half court. Will Barton and Jameer Nelson in particular pounded the air out of the ball in this one.

It was a frustrating way to lose but in the big scheme of things, the loss really wasn’t too surprising. Still, the Nuggets need to get a win against a good team or against some unfavorable odds at some point this season. It seems as thought they rarely get wins against the top teams in either conference and this game against Atlanta was a great opportunity to get a win against a pretty good team.

But if there is one silver lining, it’s that we got to see more minutes with Jokic, Gary Harris, Juancho Hernangomez, and Jamal Murray – the unit that in my opinion is the future of this franchise.
