I like to think about the Nuggets far too much. It is probably an unhealthy obsession, but I can't help myself. So, in an effort to find a healthy release from the mental projections of what next year's Nuggets will look like I figured what the hell? Might as well put an idea down on paper, well proverbial paper anyway.
I thought of this idea of trading Nate Robinson and Wilson Chandler to the Lakers for the corpse of Steve Nash and the right to swap picks with them in this draft. I see this as being a help to both teams, as we need leadership and the ability to find a guy that can crack our rotation in the draft, while the Lakers need players on short term deals that can fill some holes for them to help them make a better push in free agency and to pacify Kobe.
If the Lakers said yes to this deal then it would give us a vet leader in Nash and potential star and good perimeter defender in a guy like Aaron Gordon. Our rotation could look something like this:
Mozgov/McGee/Vesely or Lauvergne
I'd be pretty happy with that group not sure what B. Shaw would think, but it seems pretty solid to me. So, what do you think?
