This is the story behind The Hoop Dream. Brian Joseph Smith is the president and founder of The Hoop Dream and he partnered with Americas Association for the Care of Children (AACC) which is a registered 501c3 non-profit, based out of Boulder, CO. Their mission is to bring the game of basketball to East Africa where Brian and his team currently have 13 hoops throughout Kenya and Uganda. -Read my full story on The Hoop Dream, here.
Can't Stop, Won't Stop: 24 Hour Basketball Marathon
May 31st at 5:00 p.m. to June 1st at 5:00 p.m.:
Open to all ages and skill levels, this will be an ongoing pickup game for 24 hours. Food will be provided on a first come, first serve basis for dinner on May 31st, and breakfast and lunch on June 1st. Come with a team or join up with other players and try to become the king of the court!
Music, games, and a competition of sorts will take place. Please call Brian Smith at 720-394-2011 if you're coming with a large group, we can designate a time for you. Free to all, donations graciously accepted /suggested at $5 per player.Join by RSVP'ing to the Facebook page here, call Brian, or just show up!
