Wilson Chandler coming back long-term?
SI.com's Sam Amick had this interesting tweet earlier today, "@SamAmick On Wilson Chandler front, he's optimistic Denver will offer a long-term deal when he returns from China. He is Nugs' restricted free agent."
Whoa what?!? In my opinion locking up Wilson for a few years would be GREAT! Gives us even more depth and as long as it doesn't affect the team re-signing Ty next season I'm all for it!! What are your thoughts?

Bird getting amnestied and miller is leaving
That money will go to Lawson an Moz.
Stone will be the backup, and I think he will be a great backup, so not worried about Miller’s departure.
Sounds like FO wants Nene, AAA, KK, Gallo, Ty, Chandler as future pieces. I think Fernandez will leave and will free up minutes for Hamilton.
Gotta love the haterz. Keep that hate a comin'
Miller might not leave
TNT played a soundbite segment with GK during yesterday’s game where GK said that Miller might be convinced to stay in Denver where he’s in a ‘good situation’ at this point in his career. He’s gone public by trying to appeal to Miller’s senses that Denver might be a place he can win a championship. It might work. For Denver’s sake, I hope so.
Henne is the greatest and the Dolphins will go 14-2 this year and win the SB
this isn't a bad signing
but I’m not a huge Chandler fan. I’d rather them do a sign and trade with him. It also makes me wonder what will become of my beloved Corey Brewer (new hampshire!)
Probably going to either cut DeMarre Carroll or amnesty Bird
I would like to see Bird finish out his career here, but with the extension of Koufus, I feel like the writing is on the wall for the Birdman.
In any case, I would be THRILLED to see Chandler back in a Nuggets uni. Look at this:
Lawson/Miller/Stone
Afflalo/Fernandez/Chandler
Gallinari/Chandler/Brewer
Nene/Mozgov/Faried
Mozgov/Koufus/Bird
10 deep, you say? How about 13 deep?
Whoops. I didn't even include Harrington.
14 deep.

Bird should not count
Maybe he has one good game for every 10 bad games.
It like playing Russian roulette with 5 bullets in a 6 shooter.

Or Hamilton.

imo its great.
If he fits then he will be great depth. If not we can trade him in a year and we will get more value then a sign n trade. I also like the idea of Wil at starting at sg. Who knows it could work.

Will signing would make him one of the core 8
and thats the core that will be needed for the playoffs though we will play 10 during season
I really hope this is true
Totally agree with Chandler becoming one the “core 8” but I think Karl will go deeper on the bench in the playoffs to include Rudy and Brewer and possibly Kouf.
Chandler is such a good jump shooter. When he is hot he can light em up like Melo. His defense is great too. This would be great news for Denver. I hope Denver can sign him for less than 9 mil a year though.
Would look like this maybe
SF: Gallo/Chandler/Brewer/Afflalo
PF: Nene/Harrington/Gallo/Chandler/Faried
C: Mozgov/Nene/Koufus/Anderson
SG: Afflalo/Fernandez/Lawson/Chandler/Brewer/Hamilton
PG: Lawson/Miller/Stone
I like him as a player
I think he is good. However I think that we need to show faith that Gallo is “the guy” and trade Wilson for tradeable assets. With Wilson on board, Gallo will get too few minutes and Wilson will complain coming off the bench because HE IS a good starting solid SF for most teams, but our team is not built for right now, our championship window is a good 8-9 years with this core. So why not trade Chandler for something good in return? I just don’t know what we would do with Chandler and Gallo on the same team long term.

Yes yes yes yes yes
Thanks for laying this out so succinctly. Chandler is a tremendous trade piece, and I so hope that’s how the FO views him as they strategically put the finishing touches on this young, talented roster.

Who would you trade him for?
Chandler would be a 6th man of the year contender for years to come if he resigned with Denver. He is versitile enough to play 2 through 4. Imagine this years playoffs, Gallo and Afflalo are strugling, and we bring Chandler and the new and improved Harrington off of the bench! We’d have the best 6 through 8 in the league, possibly even better than Philly’s turner and thad. If anything, I say we keep Chandler for this years playoff run. But I’d much rather the Nuggets sign him long-term.
