Gallo Extension adds more stability to Nuggets
By signing Danilo Gallinari to a 4 year extension today (1/25/12) the Nuggets have continued to add stability to the core players on the roster. After the Gallo signing the Nuggets have locked up 3 important pieces for the long term in Gallinari, Nene and Triple A. Next on the list to extend would probably be Ty Lawson after this season. It's refreshing to have players that sign extensions because they want to be a part of what the Nuggets are trying to do for the foreseeable future. These three are good players and good guys and fit in here in the Mile High City perfectly!

Ultimately on a team first team like the Nuggs
you still need someone who can score the basketball. I like Gallo’s moxie and I like the fact that this could be the beginning of a small market alternative model to the the OKC Thunder stable of stars, luck of the draw: Grab a bevy of savvy American college guys (Triple A and Ty Lawson), toss in a few talented foreign cast-off bigs (consequently all three Nuggets foreign(ish) 7 footers are Knicks castoffs (Koufas, Mozgov and Nene), and wings both foreign and domestic who can shoot it (Fernandez, Brewer, Gallo, Harrington). I’m very excited about this team.
