Andre Miller = Raymond Felton, plus Gallo likes Denver!

Kinda what I expected with Andre. So, question stiffs... who should Denver target as their backup PG if it is a given that Andre wants to leave after this season? Or should they use this year as a development year for Stone and use him as the backup PG next season?

Great news with Gallinari though. Since he mentions Afflalo specifically, and I'm assuming he's referencing his contract... that would be an ideal starting point on a deal.

develop stone

we don’t need someone who will eat into ty’s minutes. we need an actual backup, not a starter who is relegated to the backup. would also help force GK into normal rotations

I think Dre will be professional enough for it not to matter this year

and the Nugs are still in a rebuild phase, which someone of Dre’s age is not part of. So no big deal there, real great news about Gallo who is definitely part of the rebuild.

Dre will be professional because Dre is a professional

He knows what he wants, but he knows he can win with this team.

I am relieved Gallo likes that girls have to fall in love with him here, because I figured we would keep Ty or Gallo, but not both. I’m also happy because I got a Gallo jersey for Christmas, and I thought it might go to waste.

if you read what he said, though andre was complementary to lawson

he just feels he can still be a starter, not necessarily here.

that said, he really likes living in denver and another year older may well change his mindset. he did NOT close the door to coming back as a backup.

the way he ran the team last night, and settled the guys down when the nets had that 4th qtr spurt is the reason to hope he reconsiders. have always admired him as a professional player who makes others better.

his willingness to pass seems to rub off on his teammates as well. aldridge in portland really misses him.

'Dre brings a lot to the table

basketball-wise but he also take some off. He is still good enough to be a starter but not good enough to be one of the top three players on a contender. . . .a role player on contender would be fine.

I get his position but, also I can’t help but think he is essentially a starter on this team – he is fourth in minutes on the team, which is the exact spot he should be on a good team.

WE NEED U DRE

Andre no doubt like the city of Denver. Why can’t he start here if thats what makes him happy. He and Tee Why in the back court sounds good to me. Plus the nuggs have caved to much bigger demands

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
