Chauncey Hurt and Melo Could Care Less

So I was just watching the Knicks-Magic game because I live in Brooklyn and it was on. Chauncey got hurt on a screen from Dwight Howard and was forced to call a timeout on the next possession. Amar'e immediately ran over to see how Chauncey was doing, and Turiaf as well as former nuggets AC and Renaldo Balkman also ran out to his aid. But Mr. Lala Vazquez was nowhere to be found. Melo was on the court when it happened but could have cared less. He was probably posing for a VH1 camera for his wife's reality show that would have wanted to record his take on this drama.

Moral of the story: Knicks lost and will lose many more if Chauncey is injured long-term. I personally hope that he is not actually injured (because Chauncey is a good guy and I wouldn't want to wish harm upon him) but decides to milk it for the rest of the season (because Carmelo is a selfish douche and Chauncey doesn't need to be his man-servant any longer).

I don't think Melo faked that

But didn’t like that he didn’t come to Billups aid.
Was he pissed that he was missing shots?

Gotta love the haterz. Keep that hate a comin'

I'm beginning to hate Melo more and more.

Meanwhile I’m loving our new guys! I wish Gallo a speedy recovery. (Who is starting to become one of my favorite Nuggets!)

I wonder if deep down,

MElo knows that he is not shit without Chauncey and it pisses him off.

Or that Chauncey has completely stolen his thunder?

maybe not so much with the mainstream media(but they are also noticing) but definitely with the NY fanbase who seem more infatuated over Mr. Big Shot than Melo right now.

That's because it's immediately apparent

that Chauncey = Winner
& MElo = Scorer

I don't think Carmelo was near Chauncey and didn't really see

and after the game he said we’ll need Chauncey.

I know many (or all?) of you all are still pissed at what he did, but what you’re saying here isn’t exactly true. Sure he didnt’ go over right away and see if he was OK, but he didn’t exactly ignore it.

Agree

Just seems like a lot of people felt burned by Melo (it is not like he Lebron’d us, he actually helped us get what we did from NY) and are spinning/exaggerating instances to taint Melo in a more negative light.

Shows no class IMO.

But whatever you have to do to feel better I guess….

Peeve: If you say someone "could care less"

it means they do care at least some. It should read “could NOT care less”.

As to what happened, I didn’t see it, but it sounds bad.

I dunno man

I’m no Melo fan at this point, but there could be any number of reasons he didn’t go over there. Seems like this is just casting aspersions

This isnt true....at all.

the played happened during the game and no foul was called. Nobody had a chance to run to him. Chauncey hobbled up the floor once the knicks got the ball and called timeout. Then everybody was around him.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
