melo's first game with knicks

melo and chauncey looked focused, melo still forcing though

He forced his way into double coverage turning the ball over late in the game leading to a wide open layup for brandon jennings, luckily jennings blew the layup and it turned into a wide open 3 for the knicks. This occurred when the knicks had a 3 point lead I believe. Melo drove into double coverage again and the knicks announcers took notice. they also took notice that melo was forcing alot of jumpers, he also had a poor shooting performance. This could be first game jitters but this was typical offensive game we have always seen from melo.

Despite that melo and chauncey looked very focused and played real hard, melo rebounded well like he has been this year and gave good effort on D.

The problem I see is the knicks have no depth, backup PG douglas is still learning to be a point, lucky him he has chauncey to teach him. the other 2 off the bench williams and walker I think are basically getting some time because there was no one else D'antoni trusted to put on the floor. Bench will get better when brewer starts getting time.

Looks like the knicks need to focus on getting some key depth besides getting chris paul there.
