Am I crazy or is this realistic?

Ty Law, Rudy, Faried, Brewer, Koufos + whatever sweeteners
for
Dwight and Hedo
Post-trade:
Andre/Julyan Stone
AAA/Hamilton
Gallinari/Turk/D Carroll
Nene/Birdman/Big Al
DHoward/Mozgov
If we're lucky we might even be able to swipe a pg or sg to help us out at our weak spots (PG and SG).
Why Denver does it: Dwight Howard. We take a huge hit in our depth and lose a great future PG in Ty Law but honestly? This team could contend for the 'ship NOW and in the future (if Dwight signs extension). Ty Law is great but he's too small to be a franchise PG. Trading depth for quality is a good move. I know Dwight said he'd only sign an extension in Dallas, NJ, LA, or Orlando, but if we are in serious contention to win a championship this year (or hell, even WIN it) I think that will have Dwight considering the stay.
Why Orlando does it: They HAVE to trade Dwight before the year ends or they lose him for nothing. Dallas only has old players to offer the Magic. Lakers only have a sketchy Bynum since they're unwilling to part with both him and Gasol. Nets were offering Brook and a 1st rounder but now Brook broke his foot. We are giving them a great and young PG, a super energetic rookie who would help fill seats during the lottery days in Faried, a nice piece in Corey Brewer and two expiring contracts in Rudy and Koufos of whom they could either let walk or resign. And of course we take Turk's albatross contract. This is the best offer I can see Orlando getting.
So yeah, what do you guys think about this? Would the Magic even do it? Is it even good for the Nugs?

I like the optimism,
but this isn’t something Orlando would consider. We need some playing time for Gallo, Ty and maybe Mozgov to prove they are worth something and then maybe some teams would consider them for a star.
Gallo and Moz stay in Denver with the above trade
Orlando would consider it. Ty Lawson is a good young PG.

I could see a deadline deal for Dhoward
we have a few things to offer Orlando. the mello deal created a pretty big TE and we have Dre Millers expiring deal as well as NYK first round pick this year to go with our own. Not to mention quite a few filler pieces. I would say we could put a better deal together than NJ but why? I like MOZ and I am not sure I want to give up on him just for a half season of Dwight. Dwight staying is a long shot as well. I also don’t think they would be interested in Lawson as they already have a small PG and if Lawsome is the starter they are rally small at that spot.
Dream the dream.. but
Dwight Howard probably barely know what a Mountain Time Zone is. He wants the big market, the big time and big money. If familiar.. yes we have seen this before.
Think he ends up with the Lakers. Lakers better hope they have a great guard.. because Howard (like Shaq) needs a closer.
everyone needs to get off the Howard-to-Denver bandwagon
1. Why would we give up all those valuable assets when we have no assurance he will extend his stay here.
2. Having Howard would be great, but we need to see what we have in our 7 footers before we completely jump ship.
3. He already stated his four destinations. Denver was not one of them.
4. I think he would suck the team play right out of our system.
5. MOST IMPORTANTLY. I would not want to cripple our future with bad contracts (Hedo) and no draft picks, and a potentially disgruntled star. That would be the Melo situation all over again.
I get the feeling the ONLY reason we'd do this is the thinking we'd contend THIS year and possibly WIN
this isn’t a trade you make worrying about future implications, which is something you’ve got to do to which is why Ujiri likely wouldn’t pull the trigger on this. Would he consider it if we Traded Andre’s expiring contract instead of Ty…?

A couple of points
1) Don’t be so sure that Dwight wouldn’t extend with Denver. If success is your #1 priority, then Denver is most likely his #1 option because they have so much depth. More importantly, they have someone running the ship who’s the antithesis of Otis Smith.
2) Orlando would take that deal over any other if it included a few draft picks, but that’s an awful lot to give up.
I think the deal would look different, but could be done. There have actually been rumblings of talks between the two teams via agents, but that could be just posturing. Either way I doubt anything gets done until closer to the trade deadline.
If success is your #1 priority
This is where you get off track with Howard. I have seen no, no indications that ths is the case with him. Potential success is pne pf many factors, probably not even close to the top one (money), and not something he’d be willing to sacrifice his other priorities for. He wants everything, money, success, a big market, to be a movie star, warm weather, the hottest clubs, etc. Denver offers almost none of those things.
No
Too much to give up.
I am totally in the camp of Stiffs who want to move away from the “Stars and Scrubs” model of NBA team building.
And this trade would totally reduce the Nuggets to this.
Mind, I think the Nuggets depth could be problematic and that a deadline trade is a huge possibility, especially if it will certainly improve the team and propel Denver into the championship hunt.
But I don’t want to do it if it involves giving up promising young talent in Ty Lawson.
"Rollin' in the club / HAPPY MEAL"
But it's not stars and scrubs
That starting 5 is ridiculous and I’d say, sans the SG and PG, we’re not lacking that much depth either.

Not going to happen
Too much to give up, Hedo is not all that great, Denver is not a large enough market for Howard. Howard is a prima donna who wants to play in a big market.
