Picking up amnestied players

Printwould Denver pick up any amnestied players? or any of the teams with lot of cap space? This seems to be the most easy way to get a pick at trade deadline?
For example, Billups has clearly indicated that he wants to go to contending team... and I see Cavs (if they have cap space), put a bid for $1M just to ensure that Lebron James do not get him... If any other contending team is interested in Billups, he could easily trade him for second round pick...If Billups retires, the worst case Cavs lose that money (assuming that Billups still gets paid that amount even after retirement)
Is there anyone on the amnestied group that is worth picking up, who could turn into potential bargaining chip?

You can't trade amnestied players that you pick up until July 1st.

Guess, they covered that loophole.. so they got to keep him till end of the year.. Stil, Do you guys think Gilbert picks up Billups to prevent him from going to Miami?

How do you think our GM feels about picking up Arenas as a 6th man? He can’t play point anymore, but at times last year showed he could still throw up points in a hurry. Opinions?

if the FO wanted him
they should have bid on him as an amnesty player and not waited for FA
