Tyson Chandler

Hello Fellow Stiffy's, I hope you are all finding ways to keep yourselves entertained while the lockout continues. I tried pinning my hopes of entertainment on the Broncos (that is not fairing as well as I had imagined). The Rockies are done with their season. At least the Av's are showing signs of improvement (which is more than you can hope for after last season). I guess I just keep holding on to the idea of the Nuggets improving their team through free agency (whenever that happens). The biggest name I keep coming back to is Tyson Chandler. I know Karl said he wants to play Mozgov more, and I know a lot of us feel Nene would dominate if moved back to PF (if he resigns) but I really would like the rotation of Chandler/Mozgov/Koufas. We could use a few fillers but I was absolutely ecstatic with our draft acquisitions. I am assuming JR/ W. Chandler, and Kmart don't return:

C: Chandler/Mozgov/Koufas

PF: Nene/Faried/Bird

SF:Gallinari/Hamilton

SG: AAA/ Hamilton/Free Agent

PG: Ty/Miller

We would have one of the most dominating front courts in the NBA. Of coarse this is all speculation, and we never know when the lockout will end, and we don't know how much it will take to retain the services of Nene and AAA, and if this happened the rotation of the front court would be jammed, and we don't know if the FO wants to spend or develop talent through next years talent stuffed draft, and Chandler is believed to be following the money...Phew, oh well one can keep dreaming I suppose.

Write respectfully of your SB Nation community and yourself.

I'm more for us going after Marc Gasol

Tyson Chandler is a complex guy. I’m a fan of his when he plays, but the truth is that he plays extremely well in contract years and then is injured the rest of the time. I don’t want another KMart type situation.

good point

but my idea here was to have both Chandler and Nene, I can’t see us affording both.

This is what i have always been saying

i am a big fan of tyson. He’s such a good rebounder, shotblocker, defender. And yes, we have the cap room to afford both Nene and tyson. And no, tyson has admitted that with the new labour agreement (that hopefully will be accepted this coming wednesday) will restrict him from being able to sign back with dallas (serves them right for signing so many good players). Sign TYSON!!! would be a great front court

i say let some other team sign him

and then when it’s his contract year trade for him.

STIFF LIST (as of 4/26 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. METTA WORLD PEACE

Metta resorted back to Ron Ron last Sunday by clubbing James Hardenwith an "inadvertent celebratory elbow", landing him a 7-game suspension. Apparently, changing his name didn't prevent NBA commissioner David Stern from overlooking Metta's past behavior problems.

2. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS

The 'Cats are on the verge of securing the worst winning percentage in NBA history. Given that the guy who runs the team - Michael Jordan - had previously drafted Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison, should this really be a shock?

3. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
The team that was supposedly built to overcome the lockout-shortened season managed to lose 7 of its last 14 games, ceding the Western Conference's 1-seed to the Spurs in the process. Their reward might be a first round matchup with defending champion Dallas.

4. BILLY HUNTER AND DEREK FISHER
With report after report coming out about NBPA union head Hunter's shady, nepotistic dealings and questions arising about Fisher's own role in dealing with NBA owners behind Hunter's back during the lockout, this off-the-court scandal could prove to be more exciting than the playoffs themselves!

5. STEVE NASH AND THE PHOENIX SUNS
The Suns are on this list for squandering the last few great seasons from Nash. Nash is on this list for his stupidly stubborn loyalty to a franchise as awful as the Suns.
