Watching Ty's amazing skills last year with limited minutes (and a freak injury), and his beyond-his=years maturity, competitive drive and cool, I really think Ty may emerge as the true future Franchise Player for the Nuggets. He is such a "team" guy, a hard worker, very coachable and he has MAD Point Guard skills. Plus, he is a WINNER (he too led a college team to the national championship). I know we are all stressed over losing Melo next summer, as we should be. Melo has amazing offensive skills, is national sports figure, and will be a great player as he heads into his prime. But, I would not be shocked if Ty Lawson ultimately emerges as the true leader of this team in the coming years. Let's hope the Nuggets front office (whoever they may be) don't make a stupid short-term fix trade of Ty for an aging Big Man (like Biedrens or Murphy) and keep Ty in the fold for years to come.
