Now that the book is closed on the 2009-10 season we can all look back and wonder if this, that and the other had happened.... then what? All season long the Nuggets were looked at as possibly the only team in the West (or the entire league?) who might be able to challenge the champs and take the West into the Finals. But if things had worked out a little differently were people expectations fairly accurate or foolish?
Poll
If the Nuggets first round playoffs series had gone differently, and knowing now how things have shaken out, would the Nuggets have actually been able to challenge the Lakers?

Yes - I think had the Nuggets been (strong? determined? lucky? consistent?) enough to face the Lakers they would have been able to challenge them in the playoffs. (16 votes)

No - I think the Nuggets weren't consistent enough to play against the Lakers and win in a seven game series (23 votes)
