love his attitude and work ethic.
makes me wanna hit the gym right now….
let's go nuggets! who u wit?
nice.. good to hear he's still a gym rat... also glad he's going to Grug's camp... it really helped JR run the pick and roll and I hope AAA could develop that aspect... cuz it would really help Nene and KMart
Could we send Birdman there too?
I know he’s a little busy right now, but would there be a chance he could attend as well?
Chris Andersen could be in a porno with his 'stache. Too bad he still wouldn't know how to box out.

aaa keeps working like this maybe someday.............
he will become the rod smith of the nuggets

Triple-A is great
I absolutely love his dedication and work ethic, it’s exactly what the Nuggets need. I know downtime is needed, but I really do wish more of the team would adapt an attitude similar to his. My only grip with him, and I’m sure others feel the same way, is when he goes outside of himself and tries to do too much. Hesitation dribble, between the legs, spin move into two defenders, turnover.
He wants to be more of a playmaker, creating shots for teammates. He wants to do a better job of finishing around the rim.
I’m glad he’s working on it, and I’m not going to knock him, every player should try to add to their game in their months off, but I just don’t see him developing into a playmaker. When he’s out there attacking, it looks like he’s thinking too much about what to do.
Basketball is read and react. When Afflalo’s attacking, it looks as though all his moves are predetermined, and he’s going to do them regardless of how well/bad he’s defended. Like in his mind, he says “I’m going to jab right, cross step dribble left, spin back right, then take it to the rack”, even if he could just go to the rack on his first step, or the defender has taken away the spin.

Great guy
It couldn’t hurt for him to add a bit of depth to his offense. Melo, Lawson and Afflalo should be the only untouchable Nuggets.

yup... I would think that is our core...
also, it should be noted, we should try to build the team around Melo/Lawson/Afflalo now b/c soon Lawson and AAA will be getting off their rookie contracts which won’t allow us to be flexibile… we’re lucky that two of our best players are young and make under 3 million combined…
Agreed
I’d add Chauncey because he should finish his career here. Bird is untouchable because of his lousy contract (you know the one we all signed the petition for him to get). Afflalo and Lawson are also our two most attractive trading pieces, but I hope neither leaves for a long time.

Not true
Bird can be traded, it’s just a pain in the ass because of how his contract is set up.

I don't think anybody is taking on Bird's contract
not unless we give them one of your other untouchables as well

My God if JR had that type of work ethic and drive, he'd be better than Kobe
Just reading that article makes you want to sign Afflalo to a lifetime contract as a Nugget. I just can’t tell you how much I love reading that. I think if Afflalo developes a better handle on the ball, more agility and a mid range jump shot he would be a 17 ppg scorer. If he can become a Rip Hamilton kind of player, where he is constantly slashing and pulling up for mid range jump shots he would be unstoppable. The great thing with Afflalo is all the hard things (defense, 3 pt shooting & attitude) he already has mastered. Once he gets his game a bit more refined, he’ll be a great member of this team for years to come hopefully. Also, this is why we need to trade JR now, becaus Allfalo is likely going to be better than him next year anyways, making JRs roll diminish even more.
Stiff 4 Life
Afflalo won't be much better than 12 ppg on great 3-point shooting on offense
But someday soon, he’ll be the NBA’s best defender.

#3 + #6 + #15 + #1 = QPU (Quantum Physics University) #25, and no, it's not because of Anthony Carter.
Antoine Walker will win the 2015 NBA 4-point shooting contest. That's right, I said it first.
Awesome
The thing I love about this is that he recognizes his weaknesses and works on it. Gotta love AAA!
