Just what a team struggling with injuries, a tough road trip and a seriously ill coach needs - - your franchise player hinting to the New York media that he would seriously consider signing with the Knicks in 2011. Frankly, Melo has not played with the same energy and selflessness after the all-star break as he did in the first half of the season. This is the time of the season when Melo needs to step-up, on and off the floor, not talk about heading for the exits. It would be awful losing such a great talent as Melo, but it is time to admit he is seriously lacking in leadership skills.
The more I think about Melo and JR's selfish play in the loss to New York, the more frustrated I get. You could tell by Chauncey's and Nene's body language during the game that the rest of the team is growing frustrated by the lack of team ball by the talented twosome.
think the reality is settling in that this may not be the dream season we are all hoping for.
