Was the Nuggets road record…
I’ll have to fix it.

Anyone else think
Lebron changing his number in confirmation he’s leaving Cleveland no matter what happens this year? I don’t buy that winning it all guarantees he’ll stay.
It's purely sales motivated
Really since when does Lebrat care about anyone but himself? Oh and his damn puppet and his 5 minute fist bump greeting.

I was reminded of this yesterday
Sitting in the doctor’s office, looking over ESPN the mag. Him and Kobe in another ad line for Nike that isn’t the puppets, displaying his foolish, oversized “CHOSEN1” tattoo. Insecure much?

According to the story he just had to beat the March 3rd number change deadline so that he could wear a different number in Cleveland ONLY.
If you go to a new team you are free to choose a new number at that point in time. Like how Billups went from #1 in Detroit to #7 in Denver last year (b/c J.R. had his number). Then J.R. had to file in March last year to wear #5 this season along with Billups to switch to #1.

#2 & #4
The Nuggets HAVE to start winning on the road, end of story. There is no way we are going to win in the playoffs if we can’t win on the road, especially considering the reality that Dallas and Utah could both move ahead of us.
I don’t get the big deal with Lebron changing his jersey. I totally agree with him that 23 should be retired by the NBA immediately! And he chose the best number he could in 6. Russell, Barkley and Dr. J all wore #6 and were some of the most unique, and innovative players of all time.
"Jive turkey is a little over the line my man!"
Barkley wore 6?
Was this in Houston perhaps? If so…that shouldnt really count. Thats like MJ wearing 45. Barkley’s number is 34. Just like when Karl Malone wore 11 for the Lakers…doesnt count, the Mailman’s number is 32!
Actually…didnt Barkley wear 4 with the Rockets? Are you talking about Olympics?! AHHHH!?!

Damnit, my fault
Yeah Barkley never did wear 6. Still, with Dr. J and Bill Russell you’re in great company.

"I'm kinda grumpy today, dude. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. I was having those dreams again. Ya know, how it's just me in a castle and I gotta fight, like, a thousand wizards and the only way to beat them is to punch them as hard as I can in their faces. Then, when I'm done, all their little wizard wives came out and wanted me to have sex with them - which is kinda weird."
Ok...I thought I was trippin.
I dont see why he’s doing it now tho. If thats the case then he shouldnt wear 6 because of the names u mentioned. Shaq cant wear 33 because of Larry Bird and Kareem and OJ Mayo cant wear 32 because of Magic.

Why is LeBron saying they should retire M.J.'s number now?
M.J. wasn’t that great when LeBron came into the league or what????
Just doesn’t feel like a genuine tribute and something that if he stays in Cleveland he can market and talk about “a new beginning” and all that crap.

Agreed
He’s just drumming up as much money as possible. He’s gonna sell a crap load of #6 Jerseys with the Cavs logo, then change teams just before the start of the season, and sell a crap load of #6 jerseys with another team’s logo.
Good point
Maybe he just had some kind of epiphany one day or something.

LeBron often comes across as pretty childish and narcissistic...
… even for a professional athlete. So maybe he’s the only one who liked MJ’s Hall of Fame acceptance speech and thinks the number should be retired based on that.

Funny Alvin Robertson story...
When Robertson arrived in Denver he had a minor injury and couldn’t play right away. So he took his family up to Vail and got severe altitude sickness. He was so sick, in fact, that he had to be hospitalized and wasn’t cleared to play for the rest of the season. Here’s a brief article on the story: http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1828&dat=19931130&id=cnUjAAAAIBAJ&sjid=TL4EAAAAIBAJ&pg=5078,8462201
Robertson would resurface in 1995-96 and score the first basket in Toronto Raptors history.
And by the way, Barkley NEVER wore #6…

RE: #3
Carmelo Anthony’s FT shooting should be at the top of the list. I contend that if Melo hadn’t been in such a slump (shooting and defensively) we probably would have won @LA and also @Phoenix. He can’t buy a bucket, or doesn’t get a foul call, or when he does get fouled, doesn’t make his FTs. Come on Melo! We need you!!
Swats.
I don't know wtf is going on there
I keep seeing these game summaries where it says he’s shooting some ugly freethrows left-handed. Something’s wrong there and it’s not getting much discussion.

I believe he's taken 2 lefty free throws this season after banging his elbow in seperate games.
Actually not sure how many he took the first time he had to shoot lefty, but I know he took one a few weeks/months ago after banging his elbow.

Didn't know about the Alvin Robertson story
What he did is absolutely terrible. He should be subject to being raped by Kobe.
But seriously, what he did was wrong, and he needs to spend the rest of his damn life in jail…

Also...
Melo’s been suffering from dehydration. I’m sure that it would be hard to play 35-40 minutes of NBA basketball when dehydrated….

Lebron should just pout away to the NBA
He says the number change was in respect to Michael Jordan, but he’s not going to be the best player in a #6 jersey, past or present. Bill Russell revolutionized NBA defenses and rebounding, and he was a much more dominant player in his time than LePout in this era (at least according to the information that I have). Also, Dr. J wore #6.
As for the present…Arron Afflalo wears #6, and I’d rather have Triple A on my team playing hard, playing elite defense, and sinking open threes instead of Lebron and his Big Apple-sized ego.
