The team did say that Martin is expected to return by mid-April. Martin is undergoing platelet-rich plasma therapy at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail.

That is part of the Denver Post article about Ty's injury. I just find it interesting that we finally got a time frame. To me that sounds like either the last game of the regular season or the first playoff game. Of course it could just be speculation, but at least its time frame, the whole thing has been rather vague so getting a time is good. Of course these things are unpredictble but its good to here something, just thougth i would tell the rest of the Nuggets and Stiffs fans

The way I see it...

Save Martin for the playoffs.

Let Petro and Graham continue to split his minutes and then ease Martin into the lineup in the first round, which will hopefully be an opponent Denver can dispatch in five games or so.

The second round could very well be Dallas again, and Denver will certainly need K-Mart’s defensive toughness on the wiry German shooter.

kmart will need to be ready BEFORE the playoffs

denver could play the suns in the first round. kmart can defend on the perimeter AND he is one of the best big men in history to defend against the pick and roll. kmart may not be able to play at all. dever would need to get another player on the roster before the playoffs too.

i think we play either PHX, OKC, SAS, or maybe POR (with MEM with an outside chance)

out of those teams i would prefer to play PHX but im afraid the fast paced offense might stop us from defending which is crucial in the playoffs

Well that does cover all the possibilities

I’d take Portland in a heart beat, I’m indifferent to Phoenix or SA and I prefer not to see Kevin Durant at all this year in the playoffs. Memphis won’t make it. Beware the Thunder, they’re young, oozing talent and no one will give them a shot, they have upset special written all over them

Why live life on the edge, when you can jump off?

No Way the Suns

They have a good formula on beating the nuggets, and we CANT out run them. I WANT it to be the SPURS. WE owe them for outing us all those years.

I agree completely. The only team I really don’t wanna see in the first round is Phoenix. Look back at every game we’ve played them this year. It’s always been a struggle. I’m indifferent to the rest – SAS too old, OKC too young and inexperienced, POR too injured, MEM? nah .. they not gonna make it.
Except for PHX, I would expect a 5-game win in the first round with these opponents

kmart's rehab

the best thing kenyon can do to get his knee ready is SHOOTING FREE THROWS. it is a scientific medical fact that a fundamentally correct set shot from the free throw line makes the knees feel great. the most detrimental thing for a player is NOT jumping but THE SUDDEN STOP WHEN LANDING. a free throw requires a shooter to slightly bend the knee but not leave the floor. there is only one thing that can make knees feel better than shooting a free throw and that is MAKING THE FREE THROW.

Meh KMart is like a 40% FT shooter

So we can kill 2 birds with 1 stone?

i like the idea....

especially since i know yao is shooting FTs on a broken leg so kmart can shoot free throws as long as he can stand and slightly bend his knees

i dont know about you guys

but Phoenix is the last team i would want the Nuggets playing in the playoffs. They beat us twice this year, and the one game we beat the Suns, we needed a big comeback late in the game to win it, and even then Nash came awfully close to closing it out.

Portland or OKC would be the dream match up. Our front line depth would not be exposed against those teams. San Antonio looks dead in the water, but I think we’ve all learned over the past 10 years to never doubt the Spurs.

If we end up playing the Suns

Chances are we’re going to lose the series, even with Home Court Advantage.

by Mini Hulk on Mar 14, 2010 8:14 PM MDT up reply actions

Highly doubt that the Nuggets lose any series if they have home court

They’re just too good at home for most teams to handle, including the Mavericks.

No way we lose in the first round … it would be tougher against phx, but we still should win in 6 or 7

STIFF LIST (as of 2/7 by Andrew Feinstein)

1. THE NUGGETS AT HOME
How is it possible that a Nuggets team with this much talent can be 7-5 at home?! Things have gotten so bad that fans are clamoring for J.R. Smith to return.

2. CARMELO ANTHONY
Kobe Bryant plays through any and all ailments. Melo uses any and ailments as an excuse not to play.

3. KEVIN LOVE
Just when the T'Wolves are looking better, Love stomps on Luis Scola and lands himself a two-game suspension.

4. CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
The 'Cats have lost 11 straight and are now 3-21 ... in the Eastern Conference! This is what happens when you let an underwear salesman with a Hitler mustache run your team.

5. MIKE BROWN
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Google it!) got himself a one-game suspension for making contact with a referee.
